Esp-Eng.- Primera consulta de Camilo Alessandro con el neonatólogo. 👶

Hola amigos de #hive hoy quiero contarles sobre cómo estuvo mi día de ayer, puedo decir que fue un verdadero agite total, pero de lo que se trata realmente este post, es de contarles que ya el pequeño Camilo Alessandro asistió a su primera consulta médica, está vez fue con el neonatólogo, y ya les cuento cómo estuvo todo.

Hoy me desperté bien temprano ya que tuve que asistir a la consulta del neurocirujano con mi esposo y bueno las noticias que nos dieron no son para nada alentadoras, pero eso se los cuento luego, realmente eso nos tomó prácticamente toda la mañana, regresamos al medio día un poco apurados a preparar el almuerzo ya que tenía que acompañar a mi hija a llevar al niño a su primera consulta médica.

Salimos rápidamente y al llegar al ambulatorio nos anotamos y luego procedieron a pesarlo y a medirlo lo que nos dejó bien asombradas, ya que cuando nació el peso 3 kilos 170 gramos, y hoy 23 días después ya está pesando 4 kilos 100 gramos lo que indica que realmente su alimentación va muy bien, su mami decidió darle lactancia materna exclusiva, sin ningún tipo de alimentos de fórmula, y va a seguir así hasta que lo permita la vida.

Cuando nació midió 53 cm de largo y hoy midió 56 cm, según el neonatólogo está bastante bien, tanto de peso, como de estatura, lo que si no estuvo bien, fue que al examinarlo, mi hija le comentó que él hacía un sonido raro al comer, así como también que se le podía notar un pequeño cansancio, luego de revisarlo, el doctor nos dice que, Camilo tenía una fosa nasal obstruida, y que no era de asustarse, pero debían atenderlo a la brevedad posible, así que nos dijo que le practicara un lavado nasal, para ayudarlo a respirar mucho mejor.

De inmediato buscó todo lo necesario para hacerlo y él mismo le hizo el procedimiento al bebé, se pueden imaginar cómo se puso el niño, bueno no solo el niño, sino que mi hija estaba ya a punto de llorar también, debo decir que fue relativamente rápido, y aunque el niño lloró mucho, al final sabíamos que era por su bien, al terminar le reviso y dijo que estaba bien, que estaba liberada su fosa nasal y de inmediato pudimos observar el cambio notable en su respiración, ya no le costaba respirar, no estaba cansado, y desapareció el sonido que hacía al respirar.

Había ya olvidado la cantidad de situaciones que se pueden generar en un bebé, y está es una de las más comunes, el doctor nos dijo que como él nació por medio de un cesárea, muy probablemente sus vías aéreas no se limpiaron tan bien como se debía, así que estamos muchísimo más tranquilas, pero eso sí a seguir el tratamiento y tenerlo en observación.

Otra cosa que nos dijo el doctor fue que felicito a mi hija, por la decisión de darle lactancia materna exclusiva, que muy pocas madres lo hacían y se ayudaban con leches de fórmula, y más aún lo aplaudía dada la conflexion física de mi hija, ella es bien delgada, y se podría pensar que se ayudaría comprando una fórmula, pero ella está bien decidida a seguir así como va.

La lactancia materna exclusiva lo crean o no, le brinda muchos beneficios y ni hablar de los anticuerpos que le da al bebé, y bueno está además el hecho de lo mucho que ayuda con el crecimiento saludable, y prueba de ello es Camilo, quien está engordando y creciendo a pasos agigantados, un detalle que me asombró fue escuchar a otras mamás decir que le daban fórmula a sus hijos, ya que si les tocaba salir podían dejarlo con cualquiera, yo estaba impactada, de escuchar eso, ver estás jovencitas la forma como se expresaban me dejó anonadada hasta en eso, los tiempos han cambiado, yo personalmente agradezco que mi hija esté firme con la decisión de darle leche materna al niño de manera exclusiva.

Nuestra visita al doctor no fue tan mala, la experiencia me hizo recordar todas esas cosas por la que tuve que atravesar con mi hija, y fue lindo recordarlo, y lo mejor de todo que lo estoy haciendo a través de las experiencias que tengo con Camilo, que como se pueden haber dado cuenta este niño llegó a poner mi mundo de cabeza, siento que este niño todos los días me inyecta de energía, esa que me hace tanta falta hoy día.

We left quickly and when we arrived at the clinic we signed up and then they proceeded to weigh and measure him which left us very surprised, because when he was born he weighed 3 kilos 170 grams, and today 23 days later he is already weighing 4 kilos 100 grams which indicates that his feeding is really going very well, his mummy decided to breastfeed him exclusively, without any type of formula food, and he will continue like this until life allows it.

When he was born he measured 53 cm long and today he measured 56 cm, according to the neonatologist he is doing quite well, both in weight and height, what was not good was that when my daughter examined him, she commented that he made a strange sound when he ate, After examining him, the doctor told us that Camilo had an obstructed nostril, and that it was not to be afraid of, but he should be attended as soon as possible, so he told us to wash his nose, to help him to breathe much better.

He immediately looked for everything necessary to do it and he did the procedure himself on the baby, you can imagine how the child got, well not only the child, but my daughter was already about to cry too, I must say that it was relatively quick, and although the child cried a lot, in the end we knew it was for his own good, when he finished he checked him and said that he was fine, that his nostril was free and immediately we could see the remarkable change in his breathing, it was no longer difficult for him to breathe, he was not tired, and the sound he made when he breathed disappeared.

I had already forgotten the number of situations that can be generated in a baby, and this is one of the most common, the doctor told us that as he was born through a caesarean section, most likely his airways were not cleaned as well as they should have been, so we are much calmer, but yes to follow the treatment and keep him under observation.

Another thing the doctor told us was that he congratulated my daughter, for her decision to exclusively breastfeed, that very few mothers did it and helped themselves with formula, and even more he applauded it given my daughter's physical conflexion, she is very thin, and you would think that she would help herself by buying formula, but she is very determined to continue as she is.

Exclusive breastfeeding, believe it or not, provides many benefits and not to mention the antibodies it gives the baby, and well there is also the fact of how much it helps with healthy growth, and proof of this is Camilo, who is getting fatter and growing by leaps and bounds, a detail that amazed me was to hear other mums say that they gave formula to their children, I was shocked to hear that, to see these young girls the way they expressed themselves left me stunned even in that, times have changed, I am personally grateful that my daughter is firm with the decision to give breast milk to the child exclusively.

Our visit to the doctor was not so bad, the experience made me remember all those things I had to go through with my daughter, and it was nice to remember it, and best of all I am doing it through the experiences I have with Camilo, as you may have noticed this child came to turn my world upside down, I feel that this child every day injects me with energy, that which I need so much nowadays.
