Hola hermosa comunidad de madres y padres de Hive, el día de hoy quiero hablar de un tema muy importante para nosotros y se trata de enseñar a nuestros hijos a conseguir lo que quieren, por sus propios esfuerzos, en vez de dárselo fácilmente y esto tiene mucho que ver con el título de mi post.

Hablar de que debemos enseñar a nuestros hijos a ser autosuficiente es un tema muy delicado, porque no queremos que sea malinterpretado con la explotación infantil que es algo totalmente distinto, pero si es necesario que le demos a nuestros hijos las herramientas necesarias para que se defiendan en la vida.
Recuerdo que en mi caso a la edad de doce años ya yo estaba trabajando y haciendo vendimias para mis útiles escolares, específicamente unos zapatos, recuerdo que como mamá y papá se habían separado, yo viví tiempos difíciles y tuve que hacerme cargo de muchas de mis cosas.
Talking about teaching our children to be self-sufficient is a very delicate subject, because we do not want it to be misunderstood as child exploitation, which is something totally different, but it is necessary that we give our children the necessary tools to defend themselves in life.
I remember that in my case, at the age of twelve, I was already working and making bandages for my school supplies, specifically some shoes. I remember that since my mom and dad had separated, I lived difficult times and I had to take care of many of my things.
En ese entonces lo tomé como una experiencia muy fea, pero gracias a eso hoy en día considero que soy una mujer emprendedora que no le tiene miedo al trabajo, en el caso de mi hijo, yo cubro sus gastos, pero decidí enseñarlo a qué trabaje por las cosas que quiere, en vez de sentarse a esperar solo que le den.
Mi hijo tiene 16 años y hace tiempo me dijo que quería una bicicleta, de decir que fui y se la compré de una, es mentira, porque realmente no tenía los medios, pero le he dado las herramientas para que él vaya trabajando y vaya armando su bicicleta, así fue como lo enseñe a hacer tortas de chocolate y ya ha hecho varias para juntar para la bicicleta.

El día de hoy término de comprar los rines, y es que yo siento que cuando las cosas nos cuestan, como que las valoramos más, para mí es inconcebible que una persona sana y saludable de 30 o 40 años este aun dependiendo de sus padres para que los mantenga y les dé todo.
Lastimosamente hoy en día hay muchas personas así, y sé del caso de una amiga que a sus 37 años se molesto con su mamá porque ella ya no la puede mantener, claro aquí el error fue de su mamá quien la sobreprotegió desde pequeña porque se enfermaba mucho y desde entonces asumió todas las cargas de su hija.

Como padres debemos enseñar a nuestros hijos a defenderse en el mundo porque no somos eternos y no le vamos a durar toda la vida, además no siempre vamos a tener las fuerzas físicas y vitalidad para poder mantenerlos, por eso lo mejor que podemos hacer es enseñarles a pescar en vez de darle el pescado.
As parents we must teach our children to defend themselves in the world because we are not eternal and we will not last a lifetime, besides we will not always have the physical strength and vitality to support them, so the best thing we can do is to teach them to fish instead of giving them the fish.
