Quiero enviarles a todos un cordial saludo, tenía muchísimo tiempo que no escribía para esta comunidad y es que debido a mis compromisos laborales disfrutar de una buena película o serie se me había hecho un poco cuesta arriba. Sin embargo, en estas noches me dispuse a ver cuáles eran las películas que estaban en el top 10 de Netflix y me encontré con una producción en la cual trabaja Nicolás Cage, así que me dispuse a verla.

Se trata de una película llamada BAJO CERO, o también conocida como CAZA AL ASESINO en España, es una película estadounidense del género de suspenso y fue dirigida por Scott Walker. Está producción está basada en hechos reales y fue lo que más me llamó la atención, en ella cuentan los crímenes cometidos por un asesino en serie y como un policía se esmera en realizar la investigación en la localidad de Alaska para lograr poner tras las rejas a este desquiciado hombre.
It is a movie called LOW ZERO, or also known as HUNT THE KILLER in Spain, is an American film of the thriller genre and was directed by Scott Walker. This production is based on real events and it was what caught my attention, it tells the story of the crimes committed by a serial killer and how a policeman strives to carry out the investigation in the town of Alaska to put behind bars this deranged man.

La película comienza con la liberación de una chica que se encuentra encadenada en un cuarto en el que abundan cabezas de animales. Ella fue llevada a las oficinas de la policía para ser interrogada, pero debido a que se trataba de una prostituta con problemas de adicción no le creyeron lo que decía, ya que el asesino era un hombre “de bien”.
Este hombre tenía un mismo patrón, le gustaba las mujeres jóvenes las violaba, las maltrataba y después las llevaba al bosque donde les decía que se fueran y literalmente las cazaba como a un animal salvaje, mientras ellas corrían por su vida él les disparaba a traición. Este asesino en serie era un hombre de familia, trabajador, servicial, colaborador, amigable, de la cual era muy difícil dudar, usaba una excelente cuadrada; sin embargo, había algo que desde el principio me hizo ruido y era que le gustaba cazar animales y tenerlos como trofeo. En mi opinión, quien es capaz de matar a un animal a sangre fría sin sentir ningún tipo de remordimiento, también es capaz de matar a cualquier persona.
The film begins with the liberation of a girl who is found chained in a room where animal heads abound. She was taken to the police offices for questioning, but because she was a prostitute with addiction problems they did not believe her, since the murderer was a "good" man.
This man had the same pattern, he liked young women, he raped them, abused them and then took them to the forest where he told them to leave and literally hunted them like a wild animal, while they were running for their lives he shot them treacherously. This serial killer was a family man, hardworking, helpful, collaborative, friendly, which was very difficult to doubt, he used an excellent square; however, there was something that from the beginning made me noise and that was that he liked to hunt animals and have them as trophies. In my opinion, whoever is capable of killing an animal in cold blood without feeling any remorse, is also capable of killing anyone.

Un sargento quien se encontraba en planes de dejar su trabajo y mudarse a otra ciudad fue designado para trabajar en el caso y recolectar las pruebas necesarias para reabrir el caso; este policía quien se conmovió mucho con el caso decidió buscar a la chica para interrogarla nuevamente, pero ella debido a todo lo que había vivido no quería cooperar mucho. La muchacha trabajaba en sitios nocturnos y bailaba desnuda en tubo, lo que la hacía muy vulnerable a qué este asesino la buscara nuevamente para matarla y así destruir el único cabo suelto que había de los crímenes que cometía.
Había desaparecido otra joven por lo que la presión por detenerlo aumentaba pero las pruebas eran circunstanciales, así que comenzaron a perseguirlo pero él se dio cuenta así que tomó todas las pertenencias que como un trofeo guardaba de las víctimas y las llevó al bosque para desaparecer las de esta manera cuando la policía hiciera el allanamiento no encontrarían evidencia alguna. Lo llevaron a la estación de policía para interrogarlo, mientras tanto un matón pagado por el buscaba a la única sobreviviente para asesinarla de una vez por todas, en el interrogatorio de una manera muy astuta el evadía las preguntas del policía y de manera sorprendente negaba todos los asesinatos.

Pero algo si era cierto, el policía era mucho más inteligente que él así que lo haría hablar como fuera, entonces busco a la chica sobreviviente y los encaro para que el se pusiera nervioso y al mismo tiempo busco una prenda de una de las víctimas y dijo que la había hallado en su casa lo cual era falso, pero que logró ser el detonante para que este hombre de manera desesperada dijera toda la verdad.
Lo realmente sorprendente es que la policía había contabilizado 7 mujeres, después llegaron a un número de más de 20, pero en realidad eran más de 32 mujeres que este hombre había asesinado cumpliendo siempre con un mismo patrón. Y la pregunta podría ser, ¿Por que no las hallaron? ¿O por qué sus familias no las reportaron? Porque este hombre el cual no tenía ni un pelo de tonto, llevaba sus víctimas a un bosque de difícil acceso y extenso para matarlas y enterrarlas, pero lo peor es que previo a eso construía el crimen perfecto y en un mapa ubicaba donde iba a enterrar a sus víctimas en un bosque helado, en el que para poder encontrar un cuerpo había que esperar el verano; de igual forma, la mayoría de sus víctimas eran muchachas que prácticamente vivían en la calle y las cuales no tenían una familia que velara por ellas.

Al final de la película nombran algunas de las víctimas y me causó muchísima impresión saber que de la mayoría de las víctimas no se logró encontrar el cuerpo, imagínense los años que este hombre tenía violando y matando mujeres. Ahora bien, con respecto a la película debo realizar la siguiente crítica y es que al ser una película de suspenso y cuya trama era el asesino en serie siento que le faltó acción, mostrar más la manera como estudiaba a las víctimas, planificada el secuestro y como las asesinaba porque siento la película se centró más en la investigación que en el hecho.
Por otra parte, hay que destacar que los actores fueron excelentes grandes artistas de la pantalla grande y más aún la participación de Vanessa Hudgens a quien estoy acostumbrada a ver en películas de Disney y verla salir de ese patrón a una película donde personificaba a una prostituta que bailaba desnuda en un tubo, prácticamente vivía en la calle y constantemente se drogaba a tal punto que casi muere de una sobredosis, realmente lo hizo muy bien.
At the end of the movie they name some of the victims and I was very impressed to know that most of the victims' bodies were never found, imagine the years that this man had been raping and killing women. Now, with respect to the film I must make the following criticism and is that being a thriller and whose plot was the serial killer I feel it lacked action, show more the way he studied the victims, planned the kidnapping and how he killed them because I feel the film focused more on the investigation than on the fact.
On the other hand, it should be noted that the actors were excellent great artists of the big screen and even more the participation of Vanessa Hudgens who I am used to seeing in Disney movies and see her out of that pattern to a movie where she played a prostitute who danced naked in a tube, practically lived on the street and constantly took drugs to the point that she almost died of an overdose, she really did very well.
