Stable coins are an important part of the Crypto Ecosystem. These coins are important because they are backed by different currencies and in most cases these coins are packed in U.S. Dollars. These are called stable coins because the value does not fluctuate and it remains as one US dollar which is why we have the option to keep any amount of money in the form of stablecoin. Many people use these coins to buy crypto where when they think it's a good time and they also convert their other coins back into stable coins when they are expecting some fluctuation in the market.
Now Philippines has started the testing for their stable coin which will be backed by peso. It seems that many countries are trying to have stable coins backed by their currency instead of usd and the Philippines has already started working in this direction to have their stable coins for easy payments and transfers along with a friendly use case.
With this stable coin, they will be able to facilitate cross-border payments easily and all the transactional data will be recorded on the blockchain. With these, they also need not worry about market fluctuation and this could be a great option for them to build for better payment experience in the digital world. The approval for the same has already been provided and maybe in the next few months, we are going to see an update coming from them that they have finally got their stable coin live which is peso-backed. If we talk about the overall stable coins then USDT is the biggest coin and usd currency is the leader because most of these stable coins are using usd as the value indicator for the coin. It's good to see more countries coming forward and creating their stable coins.
