Sublime & Beautiful Sunday - Walking, Helping and Relishing

sublimes (3b).jpg

I have taken a few weeks off these posts as it has been fairly low key with a mucky change of the seasons and a need for a little offline time. Back again and here is my #SublimeSunday (inspired by @c0ff33a) and #BeautifulSunday (initiated by @ace108) post to share how my week ended.

This week, I am back to enjoying Sundays with the onset of spring and a bit of downtown walking to do.

Where We Left Off

The snow had all melted and the ground was soggy as the trees still stood tall and bare. Cool winds and flashes of blue in an otherwise predominantly grey sky.

Today, you can see the green starting to creep in and the sky is a little more blue!

If not for a bit of rain the last couple days, the path might be dry by today. A little mushy but a great place to breathe some fresh outdoor spring air. Even better when there is still sun in the sky at 7:00 PM when sunset was as early as 4:45 a couple months ago. Can't wait til a couple months from now and the warm summer is upon us.

Even birdhouse tree seems to be basking in the spring sun. You would have to zoom right in to see the tiny little but they are there. Spring is here after another Canadian winter and this is as good a Sunday to be out.

Brunch

Sundays are my day to sleep in after a long #beersadurday, which you can catch here https://hive.blog/hive-167922/@zekepickleman/beersaturday-short-circuited-juiced-af When you do that, you wake up hungry and brunch has got to be the best thing. Baked goods and comfort food, maybe a little champagne and orange juice.

Time to Help Out

IMG_1182.JPG

A friend and fellow local business owner is in the midst of a transition with his business Sound Fixation. He has been forced out of his retail space, and that is a big challenge for a record store. Many thousands of vinyl LPs, 45s, tapes and CDs take up a lot of space. They don't travel well and need to be stored in moderate temperatures and moisture levels. Definitely not the easiest thing.

IMG_1183.JPG

When the call came out to help with some storage and moving, of course I was in. So were several other community members including Joel. He is another local business owner of Stratford Dog Walkers and was nice enough to help load a couple hours and then take the shop dog for a walk. Doesn't get any better than that support!

Here we are loading some shelves we stored at our marketing office at https://towncriermarketing.ca for a couple weeks. If Trevor had not found a place top continue retail sales another month, he would have shared our space and continued with retail sales while he found a new home.

Sunday is a fun day to help out.

Sunday Brew?

IMG_1175.JPG

I certainly did manage to sneak in a nap, and a good beer to make it the ideal Sunday. A bit of a session while w3atching the rerun of UFC 300 with a few friends is as good as it gets.

Your Sunday filled with walking, helping, and relishing is truly inspiring. It's wonderful to see you embracing the onset of spring and enjoying the fresh outdoor air, even with a bit of mushiness underfoot. The birdhouse tree is a delightful sight. Brunch and a beer sound perfect.

Maybe I should spend some Sunday time looking for Pickleball courts? ;)

I should get around to creating the 4-seasons gif of Birdhouse tree.

It should be quite popular in Canada.
I watch quite a bit of youtube videos by a guy review paddles on his channel and he mention he is from

Did you walk, brunch, help or Beer this Sunday?

I did all of the above during sunday (yesterday) 😁

Haha yah! That sounds like a sublime Sunday for you too!

I always forget to use the #weekendexperiences tag for these posts. Another supportive and engaging community.

Read about some PIMP Shit or Look for the PIMP District

Walking is very important for good health and living a good life and this place is very special.

This Sunday, all I did was sleep throughout because I was not feeling too well but I’m glad that I’m good now
