Hello my Fellow Hivers,
I hope you all had a wonderful day and an awesome weekend. Last weekend i came across the weekend contest and decided to join in this week. I read some of the post from the last contest and this one and i must say i loved them. @galenkp has helped by giving some alternative topics we could try out which are really interesting. So i would be exploring number 5.
Topic 5: Name three things that have changed in society which you wish had not, and explain with examples.
1. Socializing: before the common use of social media or the internet, people since the incept of the world have always come together to share ideas and have fun and even though the global world is accessable to everyone, I still believe physical interaction is important especially for developing minds. How else can we feel empathy if we've never really spent time with other people. You can't see everything through your chat box.
2. Public Opinion: everyone has a right to free speech and this we know but then there are some controversial details that can spark communal wars if misunderstood and these should only be spoken in close negotiable corners even if true. The sense of reasoning has been lost and everyone just puts out what they think is right knowing fully well the next guy over might take matters into his hands and start a war all for the sake of publicity.
3.Erosion of Privacy: nothing is kept secret anymore, lot of abuse of social media. Things that are meant to be personal are now all over the internet and it keeps getting worst. Now our phones are been monitored and we get feeds on what we search on the internet or social platform. We go on and on doing these thing in other to get so called like, followers without knowing the consequences.
There are many other things i would change but i guess that's for next. I appreciate the organizers of this wonderful content @galenkp. You have come to the end of my post i woould to know your opinion also, feel free to drop your comments i would love to read and reply them all.
social media has taken over alot. in general technology has taken over everything. socializing is no longer like before
Yes i wish people can know the importance of physical bonding in our society
You're right, we cannot see everything through our chatbox. We cannot see the facial expressions, we cannot really feel the real emotions.
