Fade away — Hive

Hola comunidad, hoy vengo a compartir un dibujo en blanco y negro que me gusto muchísimo, la verdad fue bastante sencillo, pero intente darle muchos detalles para que se vea realista, normalmente cuando realizo este tipo de dibujos en blanco y negro, intento que predominen los tonos oscuros, pero en esta oportunidad quise probar lo contrario y darle un toque de luz diferente, utilice un fondo blanco y trabaje con escala de grises bastante claras. En este dibujo quise expresar un poco como me siento a veces, me gusto mucho la idea de hacer como si se desvaneciera en el extremo del cabello, siento que representa muchas cosas que me hacen sentir asi, invisible, como si me desvaneciera. Estos sentimientos quizas no son asi, pero lo percibo a veces, me siento algo decaída en muchas ocasiones y me gustaría poder dejar de ser asi, pero es muy difícil, al menos tengo el arte que me ayuda a reconfortarme un poco y a expresar todas estas cosas que siento, espero que les guste.

Hello community, today I come to share a black and white drawing that I really liked, the truth was quite simple, but I tried to give many details to make it look realistic, usually when I make this kind of drawings in black and white, I try to predominate the dark tones, but this time I wanted to try the opposite and give a different touch of light, use a white background and work with grayscale quite clear.
In this drawing I wanted to express a little bit how I feel sometimes, I really liked the idea of making it as if it was fading at the end of the hair, I feel that it represents many things that make me feel like that, invisible, as if I was fading.
These feelings maybe are not like that, but I perceive it sometimes, I feel a little down in many occasions and I would like to stop being like that, but it is very difficult, at least I have the art that helps me to comfort me a little and to express all these things that I feel, I hope you like it.

Proceso/Process

Empecé con un boceto sencillo esta vez quería algo de perfil y aunque me cuesta a veces siento que quedo bien, aunque diría que la boca si se ve un poco extraña, no lo sé. Comence a aplicar la escala de grises, usando grises claros y otros un poco mas oscuros, en una nueva capa agregue mas detalles formando asi por completo el rostro, luego comencé a mezclar estos tonos hasta tener una piel que luciera suave.

I started with a simple sketch, this time I wanted something in profile and although it's hard sometimes I feel that it looks good, although I would say that the mouth looks a little strange, I don't know.
I started to apply the grayscale, using light grays and others a little bit darker, in a new layer I added more details forming the whole face, then I started to mix these tones until I had a skin that looked soft.

Quise pintar una especie de maquillaje ya que es algo que me representa, asi que solo hice cosas sencillas, colocando un gris oscuro debajo del ojo en forma de triangulo invertido y una media luna en la frente, coloque un gris oscuro de base para el cabello y luego agregue luces y sombras para darle movimiento, para este punto se me ocurrió dar algunas pinceladas en el borde del cabello para asi, dar ese efecto de “desvanecer” realice brochazos de adentro hacia afuera y de afuera hacia dentro, creando este efecto tan bonito, este dibujo me encanto como quedo sin tantos detalles y además como era en blanco y negro, esta vez no necesite realizar algún ajuste de color o edición, ya estaba listo!

I wanted to paint a kind of makeup since it is something that represents me, so I just did simple things, placing a dark gray under the eye in the shape of an inverted triangle and a half moon on the forehead, I placed a dark gray as a base for the hair and then added lights and shadows to give it movement, for this point it occurred to me to give some brushstrokes on the edge of the hair to give that effect of "fading" I made brush strokes from the inside out and from the outside in, creating this beautiful effect, I loved this drawing as it was without so many details and also as it was in black and white, this time I didn't need to make any color adjustment or editing, it was ready!
