Sorrow — Hive

Hoy nuevamente estaba inspirada a dibujar, me encanta hacerlo y estos últimos días he tenido la oportunidad de poder tomar mi lápiz tranquilamente, hoy al contrario de mi ultimo dibujo quería hacer algo más melancólico, entonces recordé que hace mucho no trabajaba en blanco y negro y decidí aplicarlo esta vez, pues asi le daría un poco más de dramatismo al asunto, fue algo difícil pintar el cabello, quería un cabello rizado algo que no suelo dibujar mucho pero es realmente complicado, hice mi mejor esfuerzo, espero que les guste.

Today I was again inspired to draw, I love to do it and these last days I have had the opportunity to take my pencil quietly, today contrary to my last drawing I wanted to do something more melancholic, then I remembered that I haven't worked in black and white for a long time and I decided to apply it this time, so it would give a little more drama to the subject, it was a little difficult to paint the hair, I wanted a curly hair something I don't usually draw a lot but it's really complicated, I did my best, I hope you like it.

Proceso/Process

Realicé mi boceto y empecé a colocar un tono claro de base en todo el rostro, un gris casi blanco, después con grises más oscuros empecé a añadir las sombras, en una nueva capa empecé a darle mas tonalidades grises al rostro para terminar de formar todo, empezando por los ojos, después nariz y luego el resto de la cara y cuello, quise dejar las manos para más adelante porque sería lo más difícil de pintar, cambie el fondo un tono casi blanco y empecé a mezclar todos los grises para dejar una textura en la piel suave.

I made my sketch and started to place a light base tone on the whole face, a gray almost white, then with darker grays I started to add the shadows, in a new layer I started to give more gray tones to the face to finish forming everything, starting with the eyes, then nose and then the rest of the face and neck, I wanted to leave the hands for later because it would be the most difficult to paint, I changed the background a tone almost white and started to mix all the grays to leave a soft texture on the skin.

Después pinte el cabello con un gris en un tono medio y luego con negro y grises mas oscuros y claros empecé a darle forma a los “rizos” hice mi mejor intento y siento que no se ve tan mal, ahora llego el momento de pintar las manos, creo que para esto fue en lo que mas tiempo me tarde, fue totalmente complicado pintar estas manos, incluso las uñas, cuando ya termine las manos, empecé a agregar una capa de luces donde resalte los ojos, nariz, boca, finalice editando la imagen haciendo ajustes muy leves ya que realmente me gustaba mucho como se veía, solo añadí un poco mas profundidad y eso es todo. Me encanta el realismo con el que se puede trabajar usando la escala de grises, es una practica bastante buena y a no tan difícil cuando aprendes a dominarla.

Then I painted the hair with a gray in a medium tone and then with black and darker and lighter grays I started to give shape to the “curls” I did my best attempt and I feel that it doesn't look so bad, now it's time to paint the hands, I think this is what took me the longest time, it was totally complicated to paint these hands, even the nails, when I finished the hands, I started to add a layer of lights where I highlighted the eyes, nose, mouth, I finished editing the image making very slight adjustments because I really liked how it looked, I just added a little more depth and that's all.
I love the realism that you can work with using grayscale, it's a pretty good practice and not so difficult when you learn to master it.
