Art Journal: "The Misty Woods Landscape" | Coffee Painting β˜•πŸ–ŒοΈ

in Sketchbook β€’ 23 days ago

Greetings Hiver friends, How are you doing? A blessed day to everyone. This is my new coffee art for today.
"The Misty Woods Landscape" commonly depicts a peaceful and atmospheric place of woodland covered in mist. It captures the beauty and quietude of nature cover in a soft layer of mist or fog. The effect of light and shadow is also an important factor in Misty Woods landscapes. The spread-out light filtering through the mist creates a soft glow and adds depth to the view. This lighting effect increases the overall atmosphere and adds a sense of serenity.

I used three types of painting brushes for this art. It took me an hour to finish this piece. For those who want to try to paint using this unique medium, you can follow the basic methods below.

Materials Needed:
πŸ‘‰ Watercolor Paper or sketching Paper
πŸ‘‰ Pencil and Eraser
πŸ‘‰ Coffee Powder
πŸ‘‰ 2 small cups ( lighter and darker shades)
πŸ‘‰ Ruler
πŸ‘‰ Clean Water
πŸ‘‰ Rag
πŸ‘‰ Paper napkin or paper towel

Brushes:
πŸ‘‰ Flat Brush /small #10, 10/32 / 8.0mm
πŸ‘‰ Liner Brush #2 / 2/32" / 1.6mm
πŸ‘‰ Filbert brush

Note: Keep all the materials ready before you start painting.

Basic Procedure:
β€’ Outline or sketch your painting reference.
β€’ Paint using a lighter shade of the background by creating a beautiful texture.
β€’ On the middle ground, paint the first layer of the subject.
β€’ The same procedure with the foreground.
β€’ Once the first layer is completely dry, you can proceed to paint with a darker shade of coffee.
β€’ Then add details to come alive of your painting. I used a liner brush for thin details.

Take note: In putting details, you cannot have sharp lines and shapes unless it is completely dry.

Painting Process:

This is the finished painting of "The Misty Woods Landscape" with coffee painting.
