Lying on the grass (mixed media on paper)

in Sketchbook2 months ago

An happy Friday to you all! The weekend is just around the corner and here in my area there is a pale Sun on the sky, so I cross my fingers for a warm sunny weekend!
Yesterday I spent the afternoon between the students of the art class in our lab room. While my hubby @paolobeneforti was teaching to them, I placed my sketchbook on my small working table and I exercised my hand drawing some human figures (not in my own illustrative style, but studying the poses of real people). After the first hour, I started to work on a new painting on paper with an idea in my mind: lying on the grass.
This morning I woke up soon and I finished that painting so now I can show you the final result:

I thought about one of my usual female characters lying on the grass in a springtime field, between the green grass and wild flowers and plants.
To paint it I used acrylic colors, oil colors and white ink on 200 gsm paper in A4 size.
As usual, I took some pics while I was painted her on my working table so you can see the steps of the work in progress:

I hope you like it!
See ya soon and stay safe,
Silvia

If I may ask, how many hours did it take you to complete this drawing?
It looks very beautiful though

For this one I needed just around an hour to paint it, this is because before I sketched the idea on a sketchbook and after I painted it on paper. For a painting on canvas I need more more time. ^_^

Manually curated by brumest from the @qurator Team. Keep up the good work!

Looking at this character also makes me feel relaxed, too.

Peaceful. I really liked the colors you used, im a fan

Thanks so much, Christopher. ^_^
