Pimpa, the sweet cat of my daughter (oil on paper)

in Sketchbook6 months ago

Hello hivers, an happy Thursday to you all! Another sunny day here and there are a lot of birds flying around from tree to tree in the gardens close to mine.
Later I have to go to buy some tools (brushes and blank canvas), but now I'm here to share with you a new artwork I painted yesterday in the afternoon.
I worked on it while my hubby was teaching to his art class inside the lab. The students are a funny group of women and a guy and, while everyone is busy to work on his/her own painting, they use to talk a lot about different themes, so the time run very fast and we smile for the most part of the lesson.^_^
The new piece I painted is a portrait of Pimpa, the younger cat of my daughter @noemilunastorta and you can see the final result in the following pics:

It's the second time I painted a portrait of this cat. I really love the white spot similar to an heart she has on the face and her large, yellow eyes. She is around 1 year old and it's a sweet furbaby, believe me. ^_^
It's an oil painting on 200 gsm paper in A4 size and, like I use to do, I took some pics while I was painted it so you can see the process too:

See ya soon and stay safe,

Wow! Cute little black cat, I love those yellow eyes

I had a cat before, his name was Batman, he looked a lot like your cat, which you can probably understand why!

Batman looks the perfect name for a cat similar to this one. ^_^

I like it :)
