Upcycling old pages of a destroyed book. (acrylic colors on paper)

in Sketchbook14 days ago

An happy Thursday to you all!
Today I'm here to share with you how I use to upcycle the destroyed old books! As you know I love so much to read books and it's the same for my hubby. At home we have many many books in every corner of every room (not just on the shelves ^_^ ), but sometime it happens people gave us their destroyed old books to give them a new life in form of pieces of art. We store them in a "special" corner saving some interesting parts of them like the covers or the pages (the old pages of books usually have an interesting time coating on them).
I love to give them a new life with my brushes and colors and so, in the pauses from other artworks, I use my imagination on them.
In the following pics you can see a couple of them I painted this morning:

I used two different pages from the same book and, for the tree on the right, I used a part of the bookbinding. I had so much fun to image these simple scenes on the old pages and I'm happy to gave them a new life in a simple way.

To paint them I used my acrylic colors and a touch of white ink. As usual, I took some pics while I was painted them so you can see the process too:

At now I'm not sure to add them to my Artfinder shop (link at the bottom), but maybe I'll do it because in the past I sold some similar pieces!

I hope you like it!
See ya soon and stay safe,
Silvia
