Shopping can be fun for some, but for me, it's always been a bit stressful. I get indecisive, what appeals to me is often out of my budget, and what I can buy often doesn't suit me 🤷😄, and from going from store to store I end up with a headache.
This shopping stress gets worse, when it's not me, but someone else I have to accompany or buy something for, as it was this time with my little girl.
On this particular day her father and I went out with her to buy her a pair of shoes. Although the ones she had still fit her, they were already pretty worn out, so it was time to find her some new ones. We went to the stores at the Habana Libre Hotel where there are more options. I thought it would be a quick shopping day, but it took us longer than expected.
It had been a long time since I had been in these stores and I found the place different, dimly lit and a little more deteriorated. This is a common thing lately, places deteriorate and often fall into disrepair due to lack of resources, or what do I know.... 😒 I've seen some worse though.
Despite the variety of stores, none of them had shoes in my daughter's size. The first one we went into was a children's store, the shoes were beautiful and my daughter loved them, she tried on several models, but... they were either too tight or too small. We decided to try another store and we had the same problem, but the opposite, they were all too big 🤦🏻, and here I started to get impatient, but we had time, and we decided to leave and go to another place.
Already the heat 🥵 felt quite strong in this midday of Cuba, and walking was not the best option, so we took a cab. We arrived at Galleries Paseo, another building that like the previous one has a set of stores, and it was not as I remembered it either. This was always a fairly busy and pretty place, now not so much.
My little girl, always found something to excite her. For her, everything was new and beautiful. She even discovered a mural with drawings, where there used to be a children's store, she loved this!
We walked through the aisles and entered a store where we did not find what we were looking for either. Here I must admit that María Claudia's particular tastes had an influence in that we did not find the right pair of shoes, because it could not be just any, but ones that did not have laces (she has not learned to tie them 🙍) and they could not be narrow in the front because they are uncomfortable for her, so this reduced the options.
Not to bore and not to make the post soooo long, in the third store we entered we found a pair that were just the way she wanted them 🙏, but not before she tried on some others. Finally!
She left the store very happy and with her new shoes on. I, as always, ended up with a headache, but happy that the search was over in one day. I know we will have to buy another pair further down the road, but now I know this store is well stocked, so it will be my first choice.

Ir de compras puede ser divertido para algunos, pero para mí, siempre ha sido un poco estresante. Me pongo indecisa, lo que me atrae suele estar fuera de mi presupuesto, y lo que puedo comprar a menudo no me convence 🤷😄, y de tanto ir de tienda en tienda termino con dolor de cabeza.
Este estrés de las compras se vuelve peor, cuando no es a mí, sino a otra persona a quien tengo que acompañar o comprarle algo, como fue esta vez con mi niña.
Este día en particular su padre y yo salimos con ella a comprarle un par de zapatos. Aunque los que tenía aún le servían ya estaban bastante desgastados, así que era hora de encontrarle unos nuevos. Fuimos para las tiendas del Hotel Habana Libre donde hay más opciones. Yo pensé que sería una compra rápida, pero nos llevó más tiempo de lo esperado.
Hacia bastante tiempo que no entraba a estas tiendas y encontré el lugar diferente, más apagado y un poco más deteriorado. Esto es algo común últimamente, los sitios se deterioran y a menudo quedan en el abandono por falta de recursos, o que se yo... 😒 Aunque he visto peores.
A pesar de la variedad de tiendas, ninguna tenía zapatos de la talla de mi niña. La primera donde entramos era una tienda infantil, los zapatos eran preciosos y a mi hija le encantaron, le probamos varios modelos, pero... o le quedaban justos o demasiado pequeños. Decidimos probar en otra tienda y tuvimos el mismo problema, pero al opuesto, todos le quedaban muy grandes 🤦🏻, ya aquí me comencé a impacientar, pero teníamos tiempo, y decidimos salir e irnos a otro lugar.
Ya el calor 🥵 se sentía bastante fuerte en este mediodía de Cuba, y caminar no era la mejor opción, por lo que tomamos un taxi. Llegamos a Galerías Paseo, otra edificación que al igual que la anterior tiene un conjunto de tiendas, y que tampoco era como la recordaba. Este siempre fue un sitio bastante concurrido y bonito, ahora no tanto.
Mi niña, siempre encontraba algo que la emocionaba. Para ella, todo era nuevo y hermoso. Incluso descubrió un mural con dibujos, donde antes había una tienda infantil. ¡Esto le encantó!
Recorrimos los pasillos y entramos en una tienda donde tampoco encontramos lo que buscábamos. Aquí debo admitir que los gustos particulares de María Claudia influyeron en que no encontramos el par de zapatos adecuado, porque no podía ser cualquiera, sino unos que no tuvieran cordones (ella no ha aprendido a atárselos 🙍) y no podían ser estrechos en la parte delantera porque le resultan incómodos, así que esto reducía las opciones.
Para no aburrir y no hacer el post taaannn largo, en la tercera tienda a la que entramos encontramos un par que si eran justo como ella los quería 🙏, no sin antes haberse probado algunos otros. ¡Al fin!
Ella salió de la tienda muy contenta y con sus zapatos nuevos puestos. Yo, como siempre, terminé con dolor de cabeza, pero feliz de que la búsqueda concluyera en un solo día. Sé que más adelante tendremos que comprar otro par, pero ahora sé que esta tienda está bien surtida, así que será mi primera opción.

Te puedo entender que es difícil escoger algo para otra persona, para nosotros es muy fácil es lo que nos gusta pero para alguien más no es tan sencillo queda la indecisión. Pero que chula la nené con sus nuevas zapatillas 🤗
Jaja, la chula nene me volvió loca porque no le gustaba ninguno o no eran como ella quería.
Que bueno que Mary encontró los zapatos a su gusto , es un desafio actualmente salir de compras y mucho más para una pequeña , se en lo tedioso que se torna , pero está historia tuvo un final feliz, Mary tiene zapatos nuevos !!
