How to Make the Popular Snack Of Tofu Stuffed With Aci Meatballs

Processed tofu always has a variety of flavors with their own characteristics. Including snacks that are often very popular with many people out there.




Tofu Stuffed With Aci Meatballs

Aci meatballs are meatless meatballs processed from tapioca flour, but in my country we often call it aci. So that meatless meatballs are often called aci meatballs. Well tofu aci meatballs themselves are processed aci meatballs added to tofu. Then steamed until the meatballs are cooked.

Usually people use empty tofu in making tofu aci meatballs. But the taste is less flavorful than the texture of the year, well that's because the empty tofu only has the skin part. But it's different if you use regular tofu, like the one I use we only remove some of the contents of the year. So the tofu still has a soft inside.

Now this recipe itself was inspired by the seller of aci meatballs at street vendors. I was curious about his hard-selling and delicious taste. As a result I know he does not use meat at all, just flour and other supporting ingredients.




Follow me to make your first tofu meatballs at home, and prepare simple ingredients that you can easily find around you.




Ingredients Needed

200 grams of white tofu
100 grams tapioca flour
50 grams of wheat flour
Leaves of onion to taste
1 teaspoon mushroom broth
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon ground pepper
2 cloves of garlic

Making Procedure


Step 1


Cut the tofu into square squares, then fry the tofu in hot oil.

Step 2


Fry until golden brown, remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Step 3


While waiting for the tofu, prepare the spring onions then finely chop the spring onions.

Step 4


Grind garlic with salt with a pestle until perfectly smooth.

Step 5


Once smooth, add tapioca flour, then add wheat flour.

Step 6


Stir both until well mixed, add ground pepper and mushroom broth.

Then add the chopped spring onions, stir everything again until well mixed.

Add in hot water flour little by little while stirring, if the dough is mushy it means the aci meatball dough can be used.

Step 9


Now cut the inside of the tofu, remove the contents and then do it to all the tofu.

Step 10


Put the aci flour that is ready to be used into the tofu hole, do so until the hole is full.

After all is done, steam the aci tofu for about 30 minutes.

Enjoy aci meatballs that have been cooked by frying or directly like I did. Then you will definitely like this snack. The chewy and soft tofu makes me really like it. The savory taste wrapped with the characteristic taste of tofu, really makes it different.

I am very happy to be able to make tofu meatballs that are very similar to street vendors. Well usually their bakso aci is no match and zayang had bought it a few times back then. Haha I didn't steal the recipe, I just guessed the spices that he added in his aci meatballs. It turned out to be very easy, and I think this can be my valuable experience in making tofu aci meatballs.
