Good day, my dear friends! How is everyone doing? I recently had the wonderful opportunity to spend the last two days with my family. This delightful break was granted to us due to a special festive season. Notably, preparing lentils during this time offered a unique experience compared to our usual routine.
Lentils are an excellent source of protein for vegetarians, providing the essential nutrients their bodies need. Today, we're aiming to prepare lentils in a unique and creative way. We'll use them as a filling bite and pair them with vegetables alongside rice. Let's take a look at the ingredients needed to prepare this flavorful dish.
Materials Used.
lentils 150g.
Curry leaves.
About 4 or 5 cloves of garlic.
About 5 pods of green chilies.
1 teaspoons of crushed chili powder.
1 teaspoons of chili powder.
1/4 Teaspoon of turmeric powder.
Some cleaned onions.
Coconut oil for frying.
Method of making.
Now let's fix this. For that, first you need to wash and clean the green chili pods, onions and garlic and cut them into the shape you like.
Next, we take a pot, add about 1 1/2 cups of water and put it on the stove and let it heat up. After the water is well heated, add the lentils to it, keep it for about 30 seconds, remove it from the stove and remove the unnecessary hot water.
After that we took a pot again and added oil to it. Then put it on the stove and after the oil is hot, fry the boiled lentils until golden.
Then fry garlic, onion and curry leaves separately in the same oil.
Then add fried dal, chili powder, turmeric powder, salt and mix well.
So, in this way, this delicious food was prepared. It can be stored for up to a month. Place it on oil-absorbent paper to soak up any excess oil. Additionally, it's a delightful dish that can be served to relatives and guests at home. It also makes a suitable dish to send to friends abroad for various occasions.
