My Nephew's Soft Toy Collection

Hello my dear Collectors friends, once again we see each other in this space that takes us to make great journeys in time through our collections; this time I join the initiative for the month of May that is about showing our collection of Soft Toys.

Recently I was telling a colleague Hiver in his post, that soft toys have a special value for those who have them because they represent reminders of important dates, but they are also objects that offer security, some protection and welfare to their owners, especially in childhood. Soft toys also have a decorative function and are commonly found in the most sacred place in our homes... the bed. This collection that you will see below is not mine, it belongs to my nephew who has his own room in my house; all these little plush friends have accompanied him from his first years of life to the present in his 12 years, they are obviously very valuable to him and here I present them to you ❤️... Let's Rock! 🤘

Hola mis queridos amigos Collectors, una vez más nos vemos en este espacio que nos lleva a hacer grandes viajes en el tiempo mediante nuestras colecciones; en esta oportunidad me uno a la iniciativa para el mes de Mayo que trata sobre mostrar nuestra colección de peluches.

Hace poco le decía a un colega Hiver en su post, que los peluches tienen un valor especial para quien los tiene porque representan recordatorios de fechas importantes, pero además son objetos que ofrecen seguridad, algo de protección y bienestar a sus dueños, principalmente en edad infantil. Los peluches cumplen además una función decorativa y comúnmente se encuentran en el lugar más sagrado de nuestros hogares... la cama. Esta colección que verán a continuación no es mía, es de mi sobrino quien tiene su habitación propia en mi casa; todos estos pequeños amigos felpudos le han acompañado desde sus primeros añitos de vida hasta el presente en sus 12 años, son obviamente muy valiosos para él y aquí se los presento ante ustedes ❤️... ¡A Rockear! 🤘

The Panda that you are looking at is part of the gift that my dad got from the Chinese mugs, remember that post? it was something additional that was sent to him with another little friend that is below.. my dad gave it to my nephew. The doggy and the Spidey (Spiderman) was a gift my nephew's aunt gave him; he has had these 2 soft toys since he was 3 or 4 years old if I remember correctly.

El Panda que observan forma parte del obsequio que le dieron a mi papá de las tazas chinas, recuerdan ese post? fue algo adicional que le enviaron con otro amiguito que está más abajo... mi papá se lo regaló a mi sobrino. El perrito y el Spidey (Spiderman) fue un regalo que le hizo la tía a mi sobrino... estos 2 peluches los tiene desde los 3 o 4 años si mal no recuerdo.

SpongeBob was always one of my favorite cartoons as well as his movies and some video games; this one was given to my nephew by his aunt when he was 3 years old. The panda is from the cartoon “We Bare Bears” that was on Cartoon Network, I used to watch it with him since he was little, however this soft toy came to him after he was 6 years old.

Bob Esponja o Bob Pantalones Cuadrados, siempre fue una de mis caricaturas favoritas al igual que sus películas y algunos videojuegos; este le fue regalado a mi sobrino por su tía cuando tenía 3 años. El panda es de la caricatura "Escandalosos" que pasaban en Cartoon Network, yo solía verla con él desde que estaba pequeño, sin embargo este peluche llegó a él luego de los 6 años.

Here we come to a huge visual dilemma hahaha, this little friend I do not know if it is a little owl or a worm or is the fusion of both a “worwl” hahaha, the truth is that I do not remember who gave it to my nephew but he has it since he was born and as you can see it is still intact and in perfect condition.

Aquí llegamos a un dilema visual inmenso jajaja, este amiguito no sé si es un pequeño búho o es un gusanito o es la fusión de ambos un "busanito" jajaja, lo cierto es que no recuerdo quien se lo regaló a mi sobrino pero lo tiene desde que nació y como ven sigue intacto y en perfecto estado.

Little Octopus, as my nephew calls him, I think he has a condition called “affective ambivalence” or maybe he has 2 personalities hehe, but he is very cool. He himself (my nephew) bought this soft toy 2 years ago since his friends had him too.

Pulpito, como lo llama mi sobrino, creo que tiene una condición llamada "ambivalencia afectiva" o quizás tiene 2 personalidades jeje, pero es muy genial. Él mismo compró este peluche hace 2 años atrás ya que sus amiguitos lo tenían también.

Mr. Turtle, as my nephew and I call him, was a gift I gave him one day when he came with me to do some shopping in a store where they sold everything, from makeup for girls to hardware and gardening supplies; he saw it in the toy section and with his face he signaled to me that he wanted it and I bought it for him.

El señor Tortuga, como lo llamamos mi sobrino y yo, fue un regalo que le di a él un día que me acompañó a hacer unas compras en una tienda donde vendían de todo, desde maquillaje para las chicas, hasta artículos de ferretería y jardinería; en la sección de juguetes lo vio y con su cara me hizo señas de que lo quería y se lo compré.

Going back to “We Bare Bears"” I think Polar rocks, he is the best character of that cartoon, we all love him; my brother gave this one to my nephew one day when they went to a shopping mall. He bought him 3 years ago in a toy store where they had original Cartoon Network soft toys.

Volviendo a "Escandalosos" creo que Polar rockea, es el mejor personaje de esa caricatura, todos lo amamos; este se lo regaló mi hermano a mi sobrino un día que fueron a un centro comercial. Se lo compró hace 3 años en una juguetería donde habían peluches originales de Cartoon Network.

At the beginning I told you about a little Panda that has a heart on his paws, this one came with him from China too and I find it very cute and cuddly, what do you think?

Al comienzo les hablé de un Panda pequeño que tiene un corazón en sus patitas, este vino con él desde China también y me parece muy bonito y tierno, qué piensan ustedes?

From here come my favorite soft toys in the collection. "Wreck-It Ralph", was a great animated movie, since it deals with video games and as you know, I love them. This plush is original and was given as a birthday present to my nephew, I think it was when he turned 4 years old, he had it saved but I took it out for the photo and it is very well preserved.

A partir de aquí vienen mis peluches favoritos de la colección. Ralph el Demoledor, fue una tremenda película animada, ya que trata de videojuegos y como bien saben, soy amante de ellos. Este peluche es original y se lo regalaron en un cumpleaños a mi sobrino, creo que fue cuando cumplió 4 años, lo tenía guardado pero lo saqué para la foto y se conserva muy bien.

Mario needs no introduction; this soft toy is great, my mom gave it to my nephew and he takes great care of it. My nephew loves this soft toy and sleeps with it all the time since he got it 3 years ago; if you press his left hand he says different phrases, just like in the video games, it's very cool.

Mario no necesita presentación; este peluche es grande, se lo regaló mi mamá a mi sobrino y lo cuida demasiado. Mi sobrino ama este peluche y duerme con él todo el tiempo desde que que se le dio hace 3 años atrás; si le presionas la mano izquierda dice diferentes frases, igual que en los videojuegos, es muy genial.

Baby Sonic likes to be in pictures, you already know him, he is very funny, he has even been in one of my music videos for the Hive Open Mic hahaha. I gave him to my nephew before the pandemic and then I adopted him hehe, I just love this soft toy. It is original SEGA brand.

Baby Sonic le gusta salir en fotos, ya ustedes lo conocen, es muy travieso, ha salido hasta en uno de mis videos musicales para el Hive Open Mic jajaja. Yo se lo regalé a mi sobrino antes de la pandemia y luego lo adopté yo jeje, simplemente amo este peluche. Es original de la marca SEGA.

This soft toy is the most precious to my nephew and me; Gusano was the 1st soft toy I gave my nephew when he was 2 years old. He has been featured in videos of both my nephew and myself on Instagram and Youtube, but he had never made his debut here on Hive. He's big, which is why I took 2 pictures of him. Gabriel loves this soft toy and always sleeps with him. Gusano has been in my nephew's most difficult moments: when we migrated from Venezuela to Colombia, when his parents divorced and in times of illness. If it were up to him, Gusano would go everywhere with him hahaha, his friends at school already know him since the pandemic when he watched classes virtually because he always sat Gusano next to him. With this soft toy I got the first laughs out of Gabriel when he was a baby; I bought it for him on one of my trips here to Colombia when we were still living in Venezuela and here is still this great friend ❤️.

Este peluche es el más valioso para mi sobrino y para mi; Gusano fue el 1er peluche que le regalé a mi sobrino a sus 2 añitos de edad. Ha salido en videos tanto de mi sobrino como en míos en Instagram y Youtube, pero nunca había debutado aquí en Hive. Es grande, por ello le tomé 2 fotos. Gabriel ama este peluche y siempre duerme con él. Gusano ha estado en los momentos más difíciles de mi sobrino: cuando migramos de Venezuela a Colombia, cuando sus padres se divorciaron y en momentos de enfermedad. Si por él fuera, Gusano iría con él a todos lados jajaja, sus amigos del colegio ya lo conocen desde la pandemia cuando veía las clases de forma virtual ya que siempre lo sentaba a su lado. Con este peluche saqué las 1eras risas a carcajadas de Gabriel cuando era bebé; se lo compré en uno de mis viajes aquí a Colombia cuando todavía vivíamos en Venezuela y aquí sigue este genial amigo ❤️.

How nice it has been for me to write this post, especially when talking to you about Gusano hehe as many memories came to me of my nephew growing up. Qué bonito ha sido para mi redactar este post, sobre todo al hablarles de Gusano jeje ya que vinieron muchos recuerdos a mi del crecimiento de mi sobrino. Feeer, I don't know where to start, there is too much tenderness in this post. On the one hand I also have the doubt that I don't know if it's a worm or a Buhito, but you know what? We have to see it sitting down to see if we finish discussing which animal it is, on the other hand I understand when you say that there are objects that not only can be a collection but also represent a story.
