Who awaits much, can expect little. - Just do it!

I have grown up listening to some popular teaching phrases of kabir Das (kabir ke dohe). He was a sufi poet and a musician, he was one of the great saint in India, who used to teach about God and spirituality. His teaching and references always had some deep meaning and impact on human lifestyle and on society. One of his tesching which were taught to us in our school days and I strictly follow it even till today is :

काल करे सो आज कर, आज करे सो अब। पल में प्रलय होएगी, बहुरि करेगा कब|
Kaal Kare So Aaj Kar, Aaj Kare So Ub Pal Mein Pralaya Hoyegi, Bahuri Karoge Kub.

The teaching simply states that : "Tomorrows work do today, today's work now If the moment is lost, how will the work be done?" It mean Do the work that needs to be done now. There might be chances that due to some unavoidable circumstances those work can not be done later. I have seen the same attitude on my Dad, who always make sure to complete any task or responsibility as soon as it was assigned to him. He was great example in our family of completing the task on time. He was a quick thinker, great situation reader, and too proactive in getting things done on or before time.

It is hard for people to get to such rhythm. I have seen many people likes to delay things. They are in habit of either postponing thing or delaying it for later days. And in process they completelly miss out on getting the desired result. If I took a simple example from our daily life, then I guess, most of us had ever promissed to go for physical workout or jogging or gym. But most of the times we delay the schedule, leaving it for, next day or tomorrow, and that tomorrow never happen, untill we get into critical condition to finally make it one day. This system of delaying things comes to be known as procrastination.

If we access properly, the habit of procrastination is the thief of time. People who delay things in life does not get the result as expected and also keeps adding more woes to us. I have seen few times in my office days, when my team member used to keep adding pressure carrying forward their daily task to other day, and in process keep multiplying the burden. We also happen to see such things, when people delay in waking up early. They always procrastinate and wakes up too late. They never seems to understand the benefits of early rising.

Avoid unnecessary delay!

As per researcher, our body needs a 6 hrs of rest. And that rest comes in way of night sleep. Butbthe advent of technology and difderrnt gadget make people addicted to them. This makes to sleep late which ultimately leads to late morning. There are multiple benefits of waking up early which people forgets.

  • Waking up early can help regulate your body's internal clock, which can help you maintain a healthy sleep-wake cycle

  • Waking up early, can lead to better energy levels and mental clarity.

  • Waking up early can help you exercise regularly, which can contribute to better fitness levels

  • Waking up early can help you feel more optimistic and less stressed

I alwsys find it soothing and very relaxing walking in the serene morning atmosphere. There is no traffic, no chaos and no noise. It simply me and my time which give me much needed kick for rest of the day. Better avoid getting into the state of procrastinate and enjoy living mindfully and happily.

This is my Day-19 entry to Inleo Writing Prompt for the m/o May.

Peace!!

Often, waiting too long to be able to do something means that we lose that something or it does not arrive in the conditions we want, it is better to act at the right time. Have a great Sunday!😃
