As I've probably mentioned a few times already, I like such semi-abstract photographs from above. Those that at first glance either look like a drawing, or seem to consist of geometric shapes and lines, or are simply a little difficult to perceive, when at first glance it is not entirely clear what is shown in the photo and what the scale is.
It seems to me that these pictures also fit this description: here it’s like there are stripes of paint depicting texture of different types and colors, or like in fluid art or epoxy resin art paintings, where different paints/resins flow into each other, but do not mix completely, and you can create the smallest inclusions and multi-colored patterns.
And from this perspective, at first glance, the photo generally looks like a collage of different pictures: a piece of water, a piece of forest, a piece of land.
A nice meeting place between shore and river, water and land. I’m always glad when I get to take a photo of such picturesque places!
Often it is small rivers with an unclear bed, breaking up into many branches and channels here and there, with backwaters, islands and shallows that look especially good from above, they often produce really interesting abstract patterns and combinations of contrasting areas. I like it!
