¡Feliz inicio de semana! Espero que logren alcanzar todas las metas y objetivos que se hayan propuesto para estos días.
Yo me levanté muy temprano con la intención de empezar a dibujar…bueno, también me despertó la “gato-alarma”: mi gatito Aioria tiene horas específicas en las que pide su comida y si lo ignoro es como la alarma de un teléfono que no se apaga, la única forma de desactivar esa alarma es servirle su buena ración hasta que está satisfecho y se va a dormir.
Así que aproveché cuando me llamó a las 5:30 a.m., de levantarme de una vez. Después de mi rutina diaria de las mañanas, me puse a limpiar un poco y ya estaba lista para preparar desayuno y dedicarme a trabajar cuando me di cuenta que estaba llegando el agua.
Como no tenemos servicio de agua todos los días y no se sabe cuánto durará cuando llega, tuve que dejar todo de lado para llenar todos los envases de reserva y aprovechar de hacer algo de la limpieza profunda, así que tuve que modificar mi calendario de tareas y pasarlas para la tarde.
Ahora finalmente, es cuando me puedo sentar a trabajar en mis cosas. Y una de ellas es ilustraciones de arte conceptual para “Ángel Guardián”.
Cuando empecé a trabajar con el manga, hice muchos bocetos de las ideas que tenía para los ambientes, vestuarios y personajes. Sin embargo, nunca me enfoqué en hacer ilustraciones terminadas ya que, como sólo yo trabajo en el proyecto, con los bocetos y notas ya recordaba la idea que tenía al momento de necesitarlas para dibujarlas en el manga.
También, al ser el manga inicialmente en blanco y negro, no tenía necesidad de preocuparme, sobre todo en los fondos ambientales, en los colores que definirían las paletas para cada ambiente.
Ya que estoy retomando el proyecto para hacer algo adicional al manga, me he tomado en serio pasar esos bocetos en algo más limpio y darles mejor forma a esas ideas iniciales.
Y comencé por la habitación de Kyrsiel y Gersiel como humanos.
Preferí hacer una toma aérea en lugar de una frontal o de ¾ para tener una visión completa de todos los elementos allí dispuestos.
La perspectiva es algo que me encanta al momento de dibujar escenas de acción con personajes, pero para la parte de fondos y ambientes, no me gusta tanto. Creo que es porque tengo problemas de visión y en la escuela, veíamos una materia llamada Dibujo Técnico, la cual llegué a detestar porque nunca lograba que las líneas quedaran derechas, no importaba con cuánto empeño y dedicación tratada de hacerlo, así que siempre tenía muchas observaciones por parte de la profesora, lo cual me frustraba mucho. Luego supe que era a raíz de mi problema de visión y dejé de sentirme tan presionada por mí misma en buscar hacerlo perfecto.
Espero terminar la parte del color pronto para compartirlo con ustedes. También, quiero trabajar en el diseño de varios Arcángeles que estarían presentes en el manga en una que otra escena y ya tengo una mejor visión de su versión en manga.
¡Ahora, de vuelta al trabajo! Mientras, le comparto una foto de mi “gato-alarma”.
Mientras yo trabajo, mi asistente duerme a mi lado. Está visto que, como buen asistente, hace el trabajo que yo no puedo hacer para que me dedique a las tareas principales. ¡A veces quisiera ser un gato!

Happy start of the week! I hope you achieve all the goals and objectives you have set for these days.
I woke up very early with the intention of starting to draw... well, I was also awakened by the "cat-alarm": my little cat Aioria has specific hours when he asks for his food, and if I ignore him it's like the alarm of a phone that doesn't turn off. The only way to deactivate that alarm is to serve him his good portion until he is satisfied and goes to sleep.
So, I took advantage when he called me at 5:30 a.m. to get up at once. After my daily morning routine, I started to clean a bit and was ready to prepare breakfast and dedicate myself to work when I realized that the water was coming.
Since we don't have water service every day and we don't know how long it will last when it arrives, I had to leave everything aside to fill all the reserve containers and take advantage of doing some deep cleaning, so I had to modify my task schedule and move them to the afternoon.
Now finally, I can sit down to work on my things. And one of them is conceptual art illustrations for "Angel Guardian".
When I started working with manga, I made many sketches of the ideas I had for the environments, costumes, and characters. However, I never focused on making finished illustrations since, as I am the only one working on the project, with the sketches and notes, I already remembered the idea I had when I needed them to draw them in the manga.
Also, since the manga was initially in black and white, I didn't need to worry, especially about the environmental backgrounds, in the colors that would define the palettes for each environment.
Now that I am returning to the project to do something additional to the manga, I have taken seriously to turn those sketches into something cleaner and give better shape to those initial ideas.
And I started with Kyrsiel and Gersiel's room as humans.
I preferred to take an aerial view instead of a frontal or 3/4 view to have a complete vision of all the elements arranged there.
Perspective is something that I love when drawing action scenes with characters, but for the part of backgrounds and environments, I don't like it so much. I think it's because I have vision problems, and in school, we had a subject called Technical Drawing, which I came to detest because I never managed to make the lines straight, no matter how hard I tried and dedicated myself to do it, so I always had many comments from the teacher, which frustrated me a lot. Later, I found out that it was because of my vision problem and I stopped feeling so pressured by myself to make it perfect.
I hope to finish the color part soon to share it with you. Also, I want to work on the design of several Archangels that would be present in the manga in one or another scene, and I already have a better vision of their version in the manga.
Now, back to work! In the meantime, I'll share a photo of my "cat-alarm".
While I work, my assistant sleeps by my side. It's clear that, like a good assistant, he does the work that I can't do so that I can focus on the main tasks. Sometimes I wish I could be a cat!
