Uno de mis videojuegos preferidos ha sido y sigue siendo la saga de Legacy of Kain. He hecho muchos fanarts e incluso fancomics relacionados al juego.
La historia es interesante y los diálogos, cargados de gran belleza, dramatismo y secretos ocultos dentro de cada línea de diálogo.
La interacción de los personajes en Soul Reaver está basada prácticamente en la búsqueda de venganza por parte de Raziel, quien fue arrojado al Lago de la Muerte por sus propios hermanos de la hermandad de vampiros.
Su clan, fue borrado de la faz de Nosgoth así que cuando Raziel regresa en forma de espectro, entra en furia al descubrir lo que han hecho con lo que fuese su legado y orgullo.
A pesar que el fandom de Legacy of Kain, prefiere ilustraciones al estilo americano, yo he trabajado en adaptar a los personajes al estilo manga, conservando lo máximo posible sus rasgos distinctivos.
Algo que me ha divertido mucho, ha sido hacer versiones chibi para algunos comics. Una idea que se me ocurrió, como amante de los gatos, fue adaptarlos en versión felina. Este fue el resultado:
Para quienes no están familiarizados con los personajes, les indico una pequeña reseña de las características de cada uno, las cuales tomé para realizar su versión en gatito:
Kain: El líder y patriarca del Clan. Sería el gato grande, líder de la manada, al que los otros gatos respetan y no lo molestan más de lo necesario porque puede haber consecuencias graves si se pone de mal humor.
Turel: Mano izquierda de Kain y siempre con la actitud de no reírse ni que le hagan cosquillas. Sería el gato serio que siempre está mirando a los gatos más jóvenes jugar y que tiene mal carácter si uno de ellos llega a querer jugar con él.
Raziel: Primogénito y mano derecha de Kain. Es el gatito en el que el líder de la camada confía para enviar a las misiones peligrosas y al que manda a poner orden a los más pequeños cuando se están descarrilando.
Dumah: Es orgulloso y egocéntrico. Podría ser el típico gatito que le gusta estar echado en su lugar favorito, acicalándose y embelleciéndose con orgullo y al que no le gusta que lo toquen porque nadie está a la altura de él.
Zephon: Desarrolló habilidades arácnidas así que puede trepar en muros y paredes. Es el gatito que no puede ver una cortina colgando porque se trepa a ella de inmediato. De hecho, sería el que trepa sobre todo lo que le permita subirse a algún sitio alto para observar a los demás desde las alturas.
Rahab: Mientras los vampiros no pueden tocar el agua porque les quema como ácido, Rahab desarrolló una resistencia al agua y fue el único que, al evolucionar, podía vivir como un tritón bajo el agua. Es el gatito que disfruta jugar con el agua de la fuente para beber y que es el raro felino que lejos de poner resistencia, disfruta de los baños.
Melchiah: Fue el último en recibir el don de la vida por parte de Kain, por lo tanto, es el más débil de todos. Esto se evidencia en su piel la cual se deteriora y debe remendarla. Con estas características, pensé que podría ser ese gatito que siempre está lleno de raspones y heridas por los combates en los techos. Adicionalmente, Melchiah no tiene cabello, así que lo dibujé como un gato de pelaje corto, aunque mi idea inicialmente era dibujarlo como un gato Esfinge.

One of my favorite video games has been and still is the Legacy of Kain saga. I have created many fan arts and even fan comics related to the game.
The story is interesting and the dialogues are full of great beauty, drama, and hidden secrets within each line of dialogue.
The interaction of the characters in Soul Reaver is practically based on Raziel's quest for revenge, as he was thrown into the Lake of the Dead by his own vampire brothers.
His clan was wiped from the face of Nosgoth, so when Raziel returns in spectral form, he becomes furious upon discovering what has been done to what was once his legacy and pride.
Although the Legacy of Kain fandom prefers illustrations in the American style, I have worked on adapting the characters to the manga style, retaining their distinctive features as much as possible.
Something that has been a lot of fun for me is creating chibi versions for some comics. An idea that occurred to me, as a cat lover, was to adapt them into feline versions. This was the result:
For those who are not familiar with the characters, I will provide a brief overview of each one's characteristics, which I used to create their kitten version:
Kain: The leader and patriarch of the Clan. He would be the big cat, leader of the pack, whom the other cats respect and do not bother more than necessary because there can be serious consequences if he gets in a bad mood.
Turel: Kain's left hand and always with the attitude of not laughing or being tickled. He would be the serious cat who is always watching the younger cats play and has a bad temper if one of them tries to play with him.
Raziel: Kain's firstborn and right hand. He is the kitten in whom the leader of the litter trusts to send on dangerous missions and to put the younger ones in line when they are misbehaving.
Dumah: He is proud and egocentric. He could be the typical kitten who likes to be lying in his favorite spot, grooming and beautifying himself with pride, and who does not like to be touched because no one is up to his level.
Zephon: He developed arachnid abilities so he can climb walls and surfaces. He is the kitten who cannot resist climbing a hanging curtain because he immediately climbs onto it. In fact, he would be the one who climbs on anything that allows him to reach a high place to observe others from above.
Rahab: While vampires cannot touch water because it burns them like acid, Rahab developed a resistance to water and was the only one who, upon evolving, could live like a triton underwater. He is the kitten who enjoys playing with the water from the fountain to drink and who is the rare feline that, far from resisting, enjoys baths.
Melchiah: He was the last to receive the gift of life from Kain, therefore, he is the weakest of all. This is evident in his deteriorating skin, which he must mend. With these characteristics, I thought he could be that kitten who is always full of scratches and wounds from battles on the rooftops. Additionally, Melchiah has no hair, so I drew him as a shorthair cat, although my initial idea was to draw him as a Sphinx cat.
