Elephant Cafe in Ko Lipe

On a recent trip to Ko Lipe, a beautiful island in southern Thailand, my wife and I stumbled upon a gem of a cafe called Elephant, located along the bustling Walking Street. This highly reviewed cafe is a popular spot for both tourists and locals, offering a variety of delicious dishes and a welcoming atmosphere. We decided to visit Elephant for brunch, eager to try some of their signature dishes! 🤤

The menu at Elephant was filled with tempting options, and we couldn't resist ordering the Khao Soi Noodles and Patty Melts. Both dishes were excellent, and we enjoyed them immensely. However, being on a beach holiday, we felt the need to quench our thirst with something refreshing and flavorful. That's when we turned our attention to the beverage menu and found the Andaman Phuket Dark Ale from FullMoon Brewworks.

FullMoon Brewworks: Crafting Excellence from Phuket

Before I dive into the details of the Andaman Phuket Dark Ale, let me give you some background on the brewery that crafted this delightful beverage. FullMoon Brewworks, the creators of Andaman Phuket Dark Ale, have a storied history of brewing excellence in Phuket. Founded in 2011, this brewery has been a trailblazer in Thailand's craft beer industry. Their dedication to quality and innovation has garnered them a notable reputation in the region.

One of the unique selling point of FullMoon Brewworks is that they are recognized for merging traditional brewing methods with local Thai ingredients, producing beers that embody the essence of Thailand. The brewery employs artisanal practices like floor-malting to extract unique flavors from the malts. This commitment to craftsmanship has made FullMoon Brewworks a beloved choice among beer enthusiasts and is a leading figure in Thailand's growing craft beer scene. Be sure to check out their official website if you are keen to find out more about them! 🤗

The Allure of Andaman Phuket Dark Ale

Andaman Phuket Dark Ale is a craft beer that immediately caught our attention, boasting a balanced composition with a 4.7% alcohol by volume (ABV), 30 International Bitterness Units (IBU), and 60 European Brewery Convention (EBC), which measures the color of the beer. This ale is brewed using floor-malted Maris Otter, a rare and artisanal practice that gives the malt a unique depth of flavor. As soon as the beer was poured, we were greeted with a rich malty aroma that was warm and inviting!

The first sip was a revelation, with a soft biscuit and caramel touch that added a delightful sweetness. The espresso finish provided a smooth and satisfying end to each sip. Overall, the Andaman Phuket Dark Ale presented a harmonious balance of flavors and bitterness, with a color that hinted at its rich maltiness. It was the perfect companion as we sat in the open-air setting of Elephant Cafe, soaking in the island vibes and watching the lively scene on Walking Street. The combination of its taste profile and setting made the experience truly memorable! 👏

Elephant Cafe: A Must-Visit for Ko Lipe Travelers

Elephant Cafe exceeded our expectations, living up to its glowing online reviews. The ambiance was relaxed yet vibrant, with friendly staff who made us feel right at home. The food was delicious, with a wide range of dishes to suit every palate. The service was prompt and attentive, and the overall experience was enjoyable from start to finish.

If you're visiting Ko Lipe, I highly recommend checking out Elephant Cafe for a satisfying meal and a fantastic beer selection. It's the kind of place that makes you want to return, whether for another brunch, a quick coffee, or an ice-cold beer to beat the island heat! 😋

That Ale looks good!

Yeah was pretty good! I like it especially when they have that coffee feels as well 😋

You just made me wanna indulge in one bottle of ice cold beer.

Haha you should grab one, weather in Singapore is insane these days! 😅

you're on a roll let's gsooo. side note i dont drink beer leh. haters come at me

Haha well its an individual choice, you don't have to succumb to any pressure if you don't feel like drinking. I can never understand that part of the culture.

understand why people choose to not drink. what do you mean O.O.

Ya you're right it's a choice usually haha. Some people enjoy it but i'd rather buy more food with that money O.O

I was referring to why drinkers will be pressuring non-drinkers to drink and think that they are not cool if they don't etc. That culture.

Oh. I Never really faced dthat situation lol. I think that can only happen if you have a friend group that does drink in the group but if you hang out with people that also don't drink then it's hard to face that but I can understand o.o. Even I don't understand why people like to get wasted, drinking is ok but they do until like forget everything or puke the next day and hangover etc lol

Yeah that is a little too much and way past the enjoyment phase.

ya for us but those people enjoy it lol

Without a doubt, a great gastronomic experience and accompanied by that beer.... wow... can you save the bottle cap for me? hahaha... Check out my latest post and you'll understand. 😂

Haha should have told me earlier, would have love to keep it for ya! 😅
