Here's my entry for BeerSaturday 358 with an IPA brewed by Boldwin, here in Quebec, the Nord-Amérique (North America) offered by a friend at his home, the best beers, those shared between friends. This is my third beer from this brewery, following Fleuve, a White Witbier BeerSaturday 338 and Massif des Roses, an amber ale BeerSaturday 305.

As this is the third time I've featured this brewery, I'm going to repeat myself. Boldwin was founded in 2016 by Daleyne Guay, Jean-François Giguère, Isabelle Théroux and Olivier Thomann with the idea of producing a socially responsible and organic craft beer (organic certification Ecocert then B Corp). The brewey (https://biereboldwin.com/) uses cereals grown organically in Quebec and brewed by the Collectif brassicole Ensemble in Boucherville (near to Montreal).
Comme c'est la troisième fois que je présente cette brasserie, je vais me répéter. Boldwin a été fondé en 2016 par Daleyne Guay, Jean-François Giguère, Isabelle Théroux et Olivier Thomann avec l'idée de produire une bière artisanale socialement responsable et bio (certification biologique Ecocert puis B Corp). La brasserie (https://biereboldwin.com/) utilise des céréales cultivées biologiquement au Québec et brassée par le Collectif brassicole Ensemble à Boucherville (proche de Montréal).
🍺 Tasting / Dégustation :
The Nord-Amérique is an American-style IPA, 6.5% alcohol, with a more pronounced bitterness (60 IBU). Like all beers brewed by Boldwin, it is made with organic and local ingredients without filtration. On the can, it says: "In the boreal night, ocean liners cross the ocean. This beer pays tribute to them". Now I know what an ocean liner tastes like 😀. No kidding, in the glass, we have a beautiful orange-yellow color a little cloudy with a generous foam. On the palate, this IPA tastes a little more bitter than usual. Despite its strength, the taste is pleasantly fruity.
La Nord-Amérique est une IPA de style américain, 6.5% d'alccool, avec une amertume plus prononcée (60 IBU). Comme toutes les bières brassées par Boldwin, elle a été élaborée avec des ingrédients biologiques et locaux sans filtration. Sur la canette, c'est indiqué : "Dans la nuit boréale les paquebots traversent l'océan. Cette bière leur rend hommage". Maintenant je sais quoi goute un paquebot 😀. Non sans rire, dans le verre, on a une belle robe jaune orangée un peu troublée avec une mousse généreuse. En bouche, on retrouve le gout d'une IPA un peu plus amère que d'habitude. Malgré sa puissance, on retrouve un gout fruité agréable.
Design
As always with Boldwin, the design is "soft". I don't know if you can stick the adjective soft to the word design, but what I feel when I see their cans. You feel you're in good hands. And it's true 😀.
Comme toujours avec Boldwin, le design est "doux". Je ne sais pas si on peut coller l'adjectif doux au mot design mais ce que je ressens quand je vois leur cannette. On se sent entre de bonnes mains. Et c'est le cas 😀.
