ALCOR 6 —Association of Local Colleges of Region VI, Hinampang 2024
A first in the history to commence such event, spearheaded by the Bago City College as the first host for this first ever tournaments of sports, dance and pageant. This exciting event would be happening from May 18 to 20 and the participating local colleges are:

- BALETE COMMUNITY COLLEGE
- BATAN INTEGRATED COLLEGE OF TECHNOLOGY
- ILOILO CITY COMMUNITY COLLEGE
- LA CARLOTA CITY COLLEGE
- LIBACAO COLLEGE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY
- MALAY COLLEGE
- PASSI CITY COLLEGE
- VICENTE A. JAVIER MEMORIAL COMMUNITY COLLEGE
Before anything else, safety and security of the participating students and staffs are the utmost priority. To ensure everything will be in place and the event will run smoothly without possible accidents, the Medics, Nurses, and Responders were requested.
Prior to the events, our team have already stayed at the campus for the preparations and briefings. Going back from our Cebu Spontaneous Trips, I went here as soon as I arrived home to check on them and be guided accordingly on the whole operation since I wasn't present during the plannings and debriefing.

Here we are , gathered in front of the Activity Center, ready to proceed at the venue and do our duties.
Before that, we have to escort the delegates of Antique to their rooms first at Bago City College since they are not yet familiar with the place. The team was divided into two; the adviser, me and the commander with the delegates, then the operations officer and the rest.
We've introduced them to the Admin's office for proper registration and how to claim their delegate's ID. They were then guided to their rooms. While the Instructors were discussing, we were given slices of Indian mangoes since they're eating lunch when we came in. The admins were very friendly and accommodating with the visitors and on game to play along with our vibes.
When we have ensured that the delegates were fine in their rooms, we got back to check on the medics and players at the back.
Since they are all in checked at their rooms, there's nothing for us here worry about. Next thing to check is our team, they were all waiting for us at Bantayan Park.
There, the juniors were eating lunch as we arrived, so we eat our shares, too. Later on, more and more students, delegates, staffs, and participants gathered on the park. To properly open the first regional events of community colleges held here in Negros, a parade of all participants is the beginning to showcase what every schools can offer to the whole region.
By 4:00 pm, the Drum and Bugle Corps of Bago City College and the color guards in front commenced the ceremony leading the College Administrators, participants, students and audiences to the Manuel Y. Torres Memorial Coliseum and Cultural Center as the venue of the opening ceremonies and the introduction of each colleges.
After the introduction and opening remarks of the ALCOR Games facilitators, the Dance Sports signaled its start. Since there were medics and DRRM officers of Bago monitoring the premises at the scene, we suggested to pull out from the vicinity and take a rest for a while.
Food and drinks wasn't the problem, but the endurance to keep up with our duties. A little rest here in the grass will do since they have been working all night to cater the needs of the visitors that stayed in our campus. Just look at their faces, they all looked worn out at Day 1 from not having enough sleep because some delegates arrived by dawn.
Just like them, I also have limited energy left from the Cebu trips last week. A cup of coffee can spare me some until night time here. Even if I know that it wouldn't last longer, just at least I could oversee the operations as a senior officer of the team.
Bago City doesn't have much facilities to cater the events in one venue; that's why each games were held apart in different places and sometimes much farther than the other. It's good that most of the schools have dispatched their Medical Teams to monitor the situations and response immediately when something came up at the scene.
Medical Teams are neutral. It's not a problem if some of the colleges didn't have their own medics, we can response to anyone and give proper first aid treatments without biases. Even if our schools were having an unspoken feud with theirs, the safety and security of all people within the premises is our utmost priority. I've witness such when Passi City College medics helped us when one of our players have a mild injury. That's why, whoever wins, the camaraderie remains intact and strong above the rankings.
