How long would you stay with them? Would you take care of them when they get old and sick? Would you still love them even if they cheat? Would you swallow your pride for them?

I guess that's a lot of questions for a blog intro, right?

Today let me tell you an amazing story of love, pain and sacrifice which I witnessed from a colleague of mine.

Henry was a plant production supervisor from where I work and he is good at it. Since I work on a feed mill company, we had to buy the raw materials to make feeds for animals. There was a purchaser for feed wheat, soya, cassava, pollard, molasses and coconut oil, most of them were only delivered to the plant but for Corn purchases, transactions happened inside the feed mill plant.

There I met Henry's wife; she is well dressed, gluta-white, with made up face and looks pretty and sexy. She is the incharge for the corn supplier's cheque collection but I wondered why her husband does not come to her every time she comes because for me, couples would normally greet each other when they are at one place. He ignores her as if they were not in good terms and he looks like he is a avoiding her.

Months later, Henry had been the topic of the gossip in the feed mill plant; he had been crying like a baby because his wife went with her boyfriend and took Henry's youngest son who was 5 years old at that time. That happened 4 years ago and it had been a while since it happened and along the way, he faced challenges along with his children. His oldest son fell in school and broke and arm, and his daughter got dengue but he is such a fighter and got through everything.

Last March, the feed mill plant was paralyzed by his successive absences and there we learnt that he took his wife to the hospital and he had to take care of her. But later in March, his wife died and we went to her funeral.

I was really curious about how his wife got home to him and I asked why and he was more than willing to answer it. He said that on 27th of December in 2023, his wife contacted his daughter and asked if he could take the youngest son to him for a while because she had been sick. He agreed because he missed his son so much and he wanted him to be with his siblings.

They agreed to meet at the bus terminal and he was shocked when he saw his wife already skin and bones. He asked: Oh! What happened to you?
She said; this is what I had been trying to tell you. I am sick.

It turned out she left her boyfriend since September and went to her father's house and built a store. She got sick and took over the counter medications thinking it was just small problem. Her health deteriorated even more that she thought of leaving her youngest to her husband.

He brought the two in his house which is next to his mother's and she was even more sick in the following days. He swallowed his pride and took her to the doctor. She said that she had an ulcer at first and when they got to a doctor, they said it was a liver problem and gave her strong medications which weakened her even more. Then he took her to a specialist and they found out that her vile had cyst and was blocking thru path to the pancreas.

She was too thin but her stomach was growing. The doctors said they could not perform an operation because the pancreas had a very thin tissue and there would be a very slim chance for her to go through all the medications.

So they went home and he took care of her. She was on oxygen, her food goes through her nose and she is very very weak. Henry and their kids took care for her, never minding what people are saying about them. He did all that he could, even swallowing his pride and forgot all the pain she caused. One of the reasons he did it is that he doesn't want to be blamed by his kids for not helping their mom when she needed him most. It must have been very painful for him seeing her sick and came back after leaving him with a huge hole in his heart but his love is greater and deeper! Such a great and true love!

But one day she vomited blood and the next day she was gone.

She looked very different from her picture on the photo frame and her actual body. Even funeral make up could not hide everything.

She was in so much pain all those days and she just could not sleep. Even taking pain relievers would only give her two hours of comfort and she just could not eat anything.

Henry says he feels happy she finally had rest from all the pain she had been suffering. It pains him so much to see her in pain and struggle.

I was in awe after hearing how he sacrificed so much for his wife, even after she cheated and even after all the pain he caused him. Henry was a man; a real man that did not leave his wife when she needs him the most and taking in action the 'Till Death do us Part vow he made I front of the Lord despite her wife being unfaithful.

I can't imagine how painful it is that he had bend going through and how much he sacrificed for her. I've read similar stories over the years but I never thought I'd witness a true story of love and sacrifice in real life. Truly, ** love makes a huge difference **

Now it made me wonder if my husband would take care of me when I get sick and old. But mind you I didn't cheat.

Recently, I saw a video of a seaman who got paralyzed and the mistress took her back to the wife's house to return him because she could not benifit from him anymore. The two women had an argument because the wife doesn't want him back since he left them for the mistress. I did not know how it ended but it was painful to watch them.

I had really been afraid of being left and I had bee praying to God that he would not let me cheat with my husband. Cheating is such a great sin and I really see it everywhere and the kids were having a difficult time growing up.

Have you witnessed the same love story as what I just shared?
