Tell me, how do you believe when the odds are stacked against you as a person?
It's even more annoying that the only reality you see around as a daughter or son
Is growing up to see a failing country with no regard for the rule of law or lives
Please tell me, how do you see the light at the end of that tunnel?
When it is pitch dark with utter darkness with no end in sight?
I am not being a pessimist but it is so hard to have any iota of hope in Nigeria!
Everyone fends for themselves and make their own rules as they deem fit
Where is the government in this, you ask?
The same government whose policies are different and favours the rich over the poor?
The same government whose standards are weighed differently on a justice scale?
We are all our own doing in all this mess and it's hard to pity sometimes
It's so hard...terribly hard to see anything good come out of Nigeria but I believe
I don't have to see the whole staircase in my ladder of hope
I just want to take each step of faith one step at a time as it comes
I don't have to see the light at the end of that tunnel yet either
I just want to switch internally and put on my faith light
I believe in the sun even when it is not shining
I believe in the moon when it is not night yet
I believe in the rain even when it's out of season also
I believe in God because He is not physically seen but I see His works
So then, I believe in Nigeria even amidst bad governance and chaos
I believe in Nigeria even when we are the reason for our own doing
I believe we will get it right even with every baby step
I believe in God because as a country we will get to our safe haven
I believe in you, I believe in Nigeria and I believe in myself, but do you?

Thank you for your time.

My pen doesn't bleed, it speaks, with speed and ease.

Still me,

My tongue is like the pen of a ready writer.

This is a message of hope because sometimes when I think deeply about the situation of the country, I don't see hope and it feels like the country has been condemned to failure.

Over the years, I have met people who have made me believe that it's not over for Nigeria and you are one of them. You haven't just proven it with words but with action as well and honestly, you will make a great leader.

We just need these old men to leave...

It's a message of hope and I believe that Nigeria will be better too. Everything isn't looking like it right now but we can still steer this country in the right direction. I also agree with you, the old people should leave. They are one of the problems we have.

I have faith but you know that when we long for time over a period, we start loosing hope and that's the case of many Nigerians. Nigeria will definitely be great again.

Even the Bible said it..prolonged hope makes the heart grow weary. We have been hoping since and that's why many people are losing hope in the country. We have to be united and that's how we can be great again.

Stay united, value loyalty, stand for the truth and shun corruption. Corruption has eaten so deep into us as a nation and we need to shun it and stand for the truth.

Amen. I have hope and that day will come where we are going to get it right. Nigeria will be great again and we will also be here to see and enjoy it.

I pray so and believe the day would come someday. Darkness can't always dominate, it will definitely vanish one day and there would be light, evil won't be able to reside amongst the people

Nigeria will be better. We have problems and they are man made problems. If we can cut these man made problems then we are half way to our redemption. We need to do our part.

You are very well on point sir because we know the root of our problems, we know the cause but making amendments won't happen easily and from another perspective, the citizens aren't united as a nation and until will embrace eachother regardless of the tribe, nothing good will happen.

This is the major problem; the youth are not united. While some are fighting for peace and a better country, the others are busy fighting for their pockets. They even snitch on the ones doing the right thing.

That's it...fighting for their pockets. Both the leaders and the so called youths. It's a sad reality.

It's so sad and you nailed one of the problems we are being faced with, which is lack of unity. Most people have sold their souls all for that these power hungry leaders can give.

Someone confidently said that he 10k during the election because he knew that if he doesn't take it, that wouldn't prevent evil from before Nigeria during the Tinubu regime.

He tried justifying his action and I asked him what would have happened if the whole country refuse to take bribe.

Whoever wins the election would know that the people are determined and can kick him out but since it's the other way around... We are bearing the consequences now.

It's man made. We are responsible for our plight and to get out of it, we are still the one to undo them. We are where we are because we are not truly ready to undo the obvious faults we have done.

We are responsible and we are the only ones that can get ourselves out of the holes we have dug for ourselves. No one can help us but us.

These old men are the beginning of our problems. They fought for independence but they have messed up everything else. They think they are using elderly wisdom for us but it is to cheat us. I believe the youth can wake up and stop being used by these so called greedy leaders.

Thank you so much for your kind words. Your words are soothing.

To me, I believe they had a terrible motive for demanding independence. They were meant to do better than the colonial masters but what's the difference. They kill the youth, embezzlement and put the whole nation in chaos.

The youth can truly make a difference but after what happened at the Lekki Tollgate, everyone is just being careful because these old men wouldn't hesitate to take out any obstruction with force.

They are taking out everyone that's calling them out and obstructing them. They have no value for human lives or the citizens they are called to serve. Everything they do is spiced up with some doses of selfishness. If it doesn't benefit them they won't do it.

The zero respect for human lives is one of the things that baffles me a lot, they take lives as they wish forgetting that those people they ended their lives also have families... Those old men are wicked...

You are right. Everyone seem to have lost hope in the country and as few of us that can still have hope, we can ignite that hope and let it spread. Everything is discouraging about Nigeria but we have to do our part and also trust God to lead us. We have to be intentional and have hope. I believe too. Thank you for this hopeful words and not bringing the country down.

I have to be honest, everything is discouraging about Nigeria right now but we can't lose hope because it's our home and that's all we have got. We have to build it because that's where our pride lies. Thank you for this as well.

It's our home, our pride and it's one of the reasons I have not totally lost hope too. We have to build and go through the pain of the process and for as long as it might take.

It's a long process o. It's going to take very long and it's not going to be easy. If we can pay that sacrifice, we can achieve the success in the long run.

You just hit the bull's eye because trusting our efforts isn't enough, we need God to intervene but we need to make the move first. It's only a child who has opened his/her arms, a woman would be eager to carry.

Yes, only a child that wants to be carried will be carried. If we don't fix things nothing will change and yes, God is a big factor too. When we are ready, truly ready o, the revolution will bring about the change we desire.

Call on God but keep rowing to the shore. God will always send His rain but we have to cultivate our field too.

This explains it perfectly and until we truly show that we want a change then nothing will happen.

God will help us. God is ready to help us but as a nation, are we also ready???

Honestly, we aren't ready as a nation and until we are in one accord, Baba would just be looking at us from up there

This is actually making me remember Bobrisky’s case. He was not granted any bail at all but Cubans chiefpriest was. It’s really crazy
Anyway, I still believe in Nigeria and I hope things get better

They always twist the narrative to suit their own hidden agenda. That's the way they always run the country but it has to come to a stop. I believe things will get better too and it starts with us.

Very unfortunate to read that about your home country my friend, as long as there is some hope everything will get better, in the end governments may pass, but in the end what makes a country great is its people and I too believe in Nigeria and that very many countries in the world including my country Venezuela will come through in the name of God, great post my friend.

I believe in Nigeria and also your country. Everything stems from bad leadership and once we get that right, these developed countries will try to keep up with us as we rise. We can do it. Thank you, my friend.

Of course we can, my friend, with small and big actions we can do much more, we just have to believe and do our bit to make those changes happen as soon as possible ♥

Thank you, my friend and happy merry weekend to you. Hope it's restful for you and enjoyable?

Thank you, my friend and happy merry weekend to you. Hope it's restful for you and enjoyable?

Likewise brother, I wish you twice as much as you wish me, that this week that is beginning is of many blessings and joys for you and yours ♥

Here the conditions of our country are going on just like your country. The government and the politicians here are imposing daily taxes on the people here just to make their lives better and every day the price of everything is increasing. It turns out that every average person out there is making $100 a month and can never make a decent living out of it.

It's so sad my friend. Imagine someone living on $100 a month while they live fat on millions of dollars. It's so bad and they are greedy with no sense of leadership in their bones. The citizens do the job while they enjoy the proceeds. I still believe things will get better and our revolution will start.

The daily expenses of the politicians here are millions of dollars, but the people here have been given so much trouble. Within the last one month, the price of petrol has been increased by 15 rupees. Leaving the country and going to Dubai.

Same with Nigeria. The price of fuel has gone up, the prices for essential things went up. A lot of people are crying foul while the government keeps enriching their pockets.

The government here also spends thousands of dollars every day on a good lifestyle and the poor people here are not even able to eat two meals a day.

It's not only Nigeria that is going through this situation, we here in my country, are facing the same situation and rich are getting preferred over the poor and all the facilities are given to rich people because of the money they have. hopefully everything will get okay with the time to come.

The rich keeps getting richer and the poor are kept there so the rich can oppress the more especially as these so called leaders don't care about the less privileged in the country. The rules are different depending on the size of the pocket. I believe Nigeria will get better, same with your country.

I hope so, I for sure pray for your country as well as for my country, hopefully soon, we will get some nice people running our country, that will make the policies that will be beneficial for poor people living in the country.

We just need good leaders and those who are willing to serve. As long as we have those who put the interest of the country above their own pockets, both countries would thrive.

yes, but where we can find these good leaders? any good man who sit on the thrown become bad and they stop caring about he country and it's people, they just want to loot and move to other countries. this is what happening from the decades @olawalium

Hey @olawalium, here is a little bit of BEER from @isnochys for you. Enjoy it!

Did you know that <a href='https://dcity.io/cityyou can use BEER at dCity game to buy cards to rule the world.

i agreed with your thought in Nigeria there is no hope currently for the citizens of nigerians. Due to high Inflation rate prices of commodities is goes high day by day. the Cost of Living is not met with Gross income of an individuals.

Exactly... the inflation is getting intense and there is no gross income increment to cushion the effect or any regulatory roles being out in place. I still believe things will get better.

The country is really getting worse, things are really getting out of hands but what can a common man do, if not hope and hope for better days. This country will be better for sure.

That's the only thing we can hang on to...hope. Things are happening in the country that can make one lose hope but we have to keep going and pushing. God help us. We also have to help ourselves.

I also believe in GOD because I see his works, what's more, he always answers my prayers.
In relation to having such a small girl and seeing her grow up in a country like that, the children of this millennium are strong, it seems that what surrounds them is something they can handle.
I wish you a happy weekend, you have faith, GOD always answers

That's it...we have to keep faith and hope in God because hope in these leaders would definitely not yield anything. We have to plan and also trust God through the process. Thank you, my friend.

Happy Weekend.

I strongly believe no matter what Nigeria is facing now or passing through, the country can still be much more better than before and will still be much more better. Just that all of must must collectively contribute to the change of this nation. I so much Believe that the future of Nigeria is really bright and it is just a matter of time

I strongly believe Nigeria will come good. We have the resources, we have the personnel and the abilities. We just have to channel it in the right direction and have a change of mindset.

Yea Nigeria will definitely be great again. The change we all look for someday will take place just that the change must start from us also. We must be the change for the country

Amen. We will get the changes we want. The greatness of this country will return and God will help us to see it and enjoy it.

Amen. We will definitely. It is just a matter of time. Before then we must remain optimistic and stay positive about the country Nigeria
