Another post from Lancaster :) We visited the Judges Lodgings Museum, now it's time to see the Lancaster Castle, which is located almost an alley away, by the way we will see other charming old tenement houses

We are right under the castle, the entrance to it, as you can see, is really impressive and powerful. However, what can be said for sure is that the entire castle is in perfect condition. And his History? In short, it was supposedly built on the ruins of an old Roman fort, and for some time it had a defensive function, but then around 1126 year it was first used as a prison and basically served this function most of the time of its existence. It was also a courthouse which was directly related to our previous attraction Judges Lodgings Museum. Today, we can visit its spacious square, and for a small fee we can see the chambers, the prison block and many other interesting places. Unfortunately, when we were there, most of these places were not accessible because the fire protection system "failed the inspection"

Jesteśmy pod samym zamkiem, wejście do niego jak widać jest naprawę okazałe i potężne. Jednak co na pewno można powiedzieć że cały zamek jest w doskonałym stale. A jego Historia? W skrócie ,podobno został on wybudowany na ruinach starego rzymskiego fortu i przez jakiś czas pełnił funkcje obronna , później jednak w około 1126 roku po raz pierwszy został użyty jako więzienie i zasadniczo pełnił tę funkcję przez większość czasu swojego istnienia. Był on także budynkiem sądu co było powiązane bezpośrednio z nasza poprzednia atrakcją Judges Lodgings Museum. Dziś możemy zwiedzać jego obszerny plac ,a za nie wielką opłatom możemy zobaczyć komnaty , blok więzienny i wiele ,wiele innych ciekawych miejsc. Niestety gdy my tam byliśmy do większości tych miejsc nie było dostępu ponieważ system przeciw pożarowy "nie zdał przeglądu".

As you can see, the castle is really big, it has a lot of different "blocks", smaller squares, there is a cafe and everything is in really good condition. Unfortunately, that's all for today, in the next blog I will show you another interesting place from Lancaster.

Jak sami widzicie zamek jest naprawdę sporych rozmiarów, ma dużo różnych "bloków" , mniejszych placów , jest kawiarnia i wszystko to w dobrym stanie . Niestety to wszystko na dziś , w kolejnym blogu pokaże wam kolejne ciekawe miejsce z miasta Lancaster
