We recently visited Port El Kantaoui together, now it's time to go to the big city to which Port El Kantaoui belongs and this city is Susa. The city is one of the largest port cities in Tunisia, but also a tourist resort with great hotels and a great long sandy beach. Above all There are many monuments in the city and one of them is the Medina. So let's start exploring :)

Ostatnio zwiedziliśmy razem Port El Kantaoui, teraz przyszedł czas pojechać do dużego miasta, do którego należy Port El Kantaoui, a tym miastem jest Sousse. Miasto to jest jednym z największych portowych miast w Tunezji, ale także ośrodkiem turystycznym z super hotelami i świetną długą piaszczysta plażą .Przede wszystkim w mieście jest wiele zabytków a jednym z nich jest miedzy innymi Medyna. Zacznijmy więc zwiedzanie :)

Medina - This is the term for the oldest district of the city, which used to be the city itself. It sounds a bit complicated but the point is that the old Tunisian cities were surrounded by walls and when their population began to increase, new houses were built outside the walls to grow so much that they absorbed the old town which was becoming a district. Speaking of walls, let's start with them.

Medyna - To określenie najstarszej dzielnicy miasta , które to kiedyś było samym miastem. To brzmi trochę zawile ale chodzi o to że dawne Tunezyjskie miasta były otoczone murami i kiedy ich ludność zaczęła się zwiększać, nowe domostwa powstawał poza murami by rozrosnąć się tak bardzo, że pochłaniały one stare miasto które stawało się dzielnicą .A skoro mowa już o murach, to zacznijmy od nich .

Behind the walls of the medina - And here begins the real Tunisian atmosphere, except that we will skip the commercial part of this place full of stalls with various goods, from edibles, to the fake of Adidas shoes or Hugo boss's clothes. We go to quiet narrow and climatic and Tunisian streets, full of blue arched doors, windows, ragged walls or those on which there are tiles arranged in traditional patterns. It impressed us when we were here in 2010 (we had a hotel in Sousse ), and it does now. Keep in mind that this is one big living museum where people still live, so behave correctly :)

Za Murami medyny - No i tu zaczyna się prawdziwy Tunezyjski klimat , z tym że pominiemy część handlową tego miejsca pełnego straganów z rożnymi towarami, od jadalnych począwszy, na podrobach butów adidasa , czy ubioru Hugo bossa skończywszy. Idziemy w spokojne wąskie i klimatyczne oraz tunezyjskie uliczki , pełne niebieskich łukowatych drzwi ,okien , obdartych ścian czy też tych na których znajdują się kafelki układające się w tradycyjne wzory . Robiło to na nas wrażenie kiedy byliśmy tu w 2010 roku ( w Susie mieliśmy hotel), i robi teraz. Należy pamiętać że jest to jedno wielkie żywe muzeum w którym dalej żyją ludzie , więc należy zachowywać się poprawnie :)
