Now i am not tour ordinary complainer. I've already experienced being upvoted in the past plenty. I have probably made more in upvotes than any of you have ever made because I had a $1600 single post upvoted back in 2017 lol. During quadratic rewards. Its just emptier now. Steem

Steem.was more fun. Even if you got robbed 26million steem, hive paid you back more than you lost if you were a steem witness. And it's like hey not your keys not your vote. Yes hive has secure foundation, but no one is partying here. It's boring now. Steem used to have excitemen

Maybe that's just my subjective view but I know people used ro have more fun as a matter of fact when prices were high...and we had more active users back then... that's the sad part

We obviously have less active users just according to old @penguinpablo stats. It's understandablewiredmagazineusedtopromotesteembuthasntpronotedhive

It's understandable, steemit had the years of marketing name brand recognition and I was able to get random people off the street here in southern california to recognize steemit... people had HEARD of it! They had seen it on wired magazine! But hive lacks this household name. NeedsaNEWnameBTW

The name HIVE is OK for a background technology like "powered by hive" but the front end should not be something that sounds like HIV and HBD also sounds like HPV , some kid on discord once remarked that our coins sound like STDs so no one wants them and he was 100% right. Nooneadmitsthis

People will defend the name saying not everyone is an English speaker lol well its an English word so too bad.

We really should have something like how steem had steemit

Hive has what? Hiveit? It would make sense... how about LIVE or GIVE? it's so simple but who asked us?

On the russian steem fork golos.id they would have used the committee, the dpos Dao with voting and proposals, to propose the change of something like the name of the coin at a constitution level...but on hive they just have @blocktrades and aggroed meet in a discord :D lol who didcomeupwithhiveanyway

In all seriousness, who did come up with the name HIVE ? is it just hivemind?

I have an old steemit/discord post where I actually suggested sunsetting steemit, forking it and naming it after the hivemind part of steem blockchain and people laughed
