Hello dear Hivers and welcome back to my diary!
During the summer of 2023 I visited one of the most beautiful islands in the Mediterranean: the island of Malta. It was the first time I visited this small state (it is the smallest member state of the European Union!) and I spent a few wonderful days between sea, sun and culture.
In particular, today I bring you with me to visit the beautiful Dingli cliffs. It is a panoramic area located close to the highest point of the island and which allows you to enjoy a wonderful view of the Mediterranean landscape.
The cliffs constitute a real natural barrier that rises more than 200 meters above sea level. This area is an excellent starting point for nature walks, the most famous of which is the one that leads to the Blue Grotto. The latter is so noteworthy that it was also the location of some famous films such as "Troy" and "Game of Thrones"!
My visit to Dingli Cliffs was on a rainy day, so the sky you can see in the photos is very dark. Nonetheless, it contributed to giving a very particular atmosphere and certainly different from the shots that can be found online.

Ciao cari Hivers e bentornati sul mio diario!
Durante l’estate del 2023 ho visitato una delle isole più belle del Mediterraneo: l’isola di Malta. Era la prima volta che visitavo questo piccolo Stato (pensate che è lo Stato più piccolo membro dell’Unione Europea!) e ho passato alcuni giorni stupendi fra mare, sole e cultura.
In particolare, oggi vi porto con me a visitare le bellissime scogliere di Dingli. Si tratta di un’area panoramica che si trova a ridosso del punto più alto dell’isola e che permettono di godere di una vista stupenda sul paesaggio Mediterraneo.
Le scogliere costituiscono una vera e propria barriera naturale che si erge a più di 200 metri sul livello del mare. Questa zona è un ottimo punto di partenza per effettuare delle passeggiate naturalistiche, di cui la più famosa è quella che porta al Blue Grotto (Grotta Azzurra). Quest’ultima è talmente degna di nota che è stata anche location di alcuni film famosi come “Troy” e “Il trono di spade”!
La mia visita delle scogliere di Dingli è avvenuta durante un giorno di pioggia, quindi il cielo che potete vedere nelle foto è molto cupo. Ciò nonostante, ha contribuito a donare un’atmosfera molto particolare e senz’altro diversa dagli scatti che si possono trovare online.
