Detrás de la ventana, el día se desvanece como esa bocada de aire que me anima y me sostiene, dejando paso a la tenue luz del crepúsculo. Las sombras se alargan y se dibujan caprichosas sobre las calles, como pensamientos que bailan en la penumbra. Un manto de silencio se extiende, solo roto, por el imprevisto canto de un grillo o el lejano murmullo del tráfico.
Observo desde mi mueble, ajeno al bullicio del mundo exterior, mientras mi mente se llena de imágenes que se apoderan de mi ser. La satisfacción me invade al recordar los momentos, pasados y felices, presentes y angustiosos, que vivo, algunos bajo la cálida luz del sol, otros bajo el frío de la lluvia y la oscuridad. Pero ahora, solo tengo eso: el recuerdo, un eco distante de lo que fue.
Miro hacia el cielo, donde las estrellas comienzan a brillar con tímida intensidad. La luna, pálida y serena, se asoma por el horizonte, derramando su suave luz sobre la tierra. En su presencia, me siento acompañado, conectado con este universo que me rodea.
Sin querer cierro los ojos y la brisa acaricia mi rostro. Inhalo profundamente el aire fresco de la noche, tratando de absorber la paz y la tranquilidad que me rodean. En este momento de quietud la sonrisa emerge y se posiciona en mi rostro, sensación que me anima y me estimula.
Decido retirarme a descansar porque mañana volverá el sol, y con él la rutina, esa que me alimenta y le da sentido a lo que vivo.
Mañana, detrás de la ventana, estaré nuevamente, espero que satisfecho y pleno, no como hoy, sino más y mejor, esa es mi oración.
Behind the window
Behind the window, the day fades away like that breath of air that cheers and sustains me, giving way to the dim light of twilight. The shadows lengthen and draw themselves whimsically over the streets, like thoughts dancing in the gloom. A blanket of silence spreads, broken only by the unexpected chirping of a cricket or the distant murmur of traffic.
I watch from my furniture, oblivious to the hustle and bustle of the outside world, while my mind fills with images that take over my being. Satisfaction invades me as I recall the moments, past and happy, present and anxious, that I live, some in the warm sunlight, others in the cold of rain and darkness. But now, I have only that: the memory, a distant echo of what was.
I look up at the sky, where the stars begin to shine with shy intensity. The moon, pale and serene, peeks over the horizon, shedding its soft light on the earth. In its presence, I feel accompanied, connected with this universe that surrounds me.
I unwillingly close my eyes and the breeze caresses my face. I inhale deeply the cool night air, trying to absorb the peace and tranquility that surrounds me. In this moment of stillness the smile emerges and positions itself on my face, a sensation that encourages and stimulates me.
I decide to retire to rest because tomorrow the sun will return, and with it the routine, the one that feeds me and gives meaning to what I live.
Tomorrow, behind the window, I will be again, hopefully satisfied and full, not like today, but more and better, that is my prayer.
