Suddenly there was this noise, a relatively loud, fast, metallic click, once, twice, and I got up to look, and what did I see? A woodpecker pecking away at our old house antenna. I dashed in, grabbed the camera with the telephoto lens and came back just in time to catch it before it flew away. Too bad, I would have liked to have shot him pecking at the antenna to have evidence of pecking causing brain damage, because why else would the bird be pecking on steel. But hey, maybe he was only communicating to the others that there‘s nothing to find here, who knows.
