Hello everyone π,
Happy Sunday π and a very warm welcome to my world π. It's definitely a blessing to be alive in this day and age. It's another 24 hours to be grateful for and as the day fades away, am raring to go with my stepping activities of the day including some of the trending stories I came across. Thank you for being here and let's get cracking π¨.
So just like yesterday, I kicked off with the fast paced morning session. Thoroughly enjoyed the cool morning breeze π as I made my way around the neighborhood π². Then I was back indoors for some rest and the daily household chores. A little bit of youtube and cooking then the afternoon saw me go out to the shopping centre for some groceries. Next came the refreshing napπ€. I woke up some time later in the evening and continued watching some of the earlier videos and news.
Just like yesterday, some interesting games in the EPL.
I did finish off the day with the slow paced evening walk. Now let's quickly take a look what has been trending in the media streets.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept goingπΉ, otherwise a quiet day.
Globally, the talks between Hamas and Israel have stalled due to disagreementsπ. Hamas delegation have left Cairo.
CIA director William Burns left Cairo for Qatar for emergency meeting with Qatari PM.
One of Hamas needs was an end to the war but PM Netanyahu says ending the war would keep Hamas in power. He has vowed to fight on until objectives are achievedπ.
Also trending, Israel has shut one of Gaza's crossing after Hamas fired rockets.
In Israel, Al Jazeera offices were raided and the channel taken off air, website blockedπ. The network denies being a threat to security and says Israel wants to cover up its crimes.
In the other war, Cubans have been lured to Russian army by high pay and passportsπ. The number of Cubans recruited to fight in Ukraine is thought to be in the hundreds.
Still in Europe, Chinese president Xi Jinping is on a visit to Paris, France.
Welcomed by president Macron, of course trade and other economic deals will be discussed.
Across the pond, voting is underway in Panama for the next president after months of political turmoil. Among main voters issues are the economy, unemployment and a surge in regional migration.
