A cordial greeting to the #Music community. I keep working on doing different things and looking for ways to improve every day. Today I want to share with you my trumpet interpretation of "Hopelessly Devoted to You", a classic musical film composed by John Farrar and performed by Olivia Newton-John. Everyone will surely remember her from the movie Grease (1978). The main key is A Major, which contributes to the overall feeling of sweetness and romanticism. The melody is memorable, it has some octave jumps that make you feel an emotional change. The pace is constant and moderate. The lyrics are moving and vibrant because they capture the universality of unrequited love. The song expresses the hope, pain and determination that many people have experienced at some point in their lives. It was written in the 1970s, a time when gender roles and social expectations were very different than today.

Un cordial saludo a la comunidad de #Music. Sigo trabajando en hacer cosas diferentes y buscando la manera de mejorar cada día. Hoy deseo compartirles mi interpretación con la trompeta de «Hopelessly Devoted to You», un clásico del cine musical compuesto por John Farrar e interpretado por Olivia Newton-John. Todos seguros la recordarán de la película Vaselina (1978). La tonalidad principal es A Mayor, lo que contribuye a la sensación general de dulzura y romanticismo. La melodía es memorable, tiene unos saltos de octavas que hacen sentir un cambio emocional. El ritmo es constante y moderado. La letra es conmovedora y vibrante porque captura la universalidad del amor no correspondido. La canción expresa la esperanza, el dolor y la determinación que muchas personas han experimentado en algún momento de sus vidas. Fue escrita en la década de 1970, una época en la que los roles de género y las expectativas sociales eran muy diferentes a las de la actualidad.
When placing the community logo, the yellow letters were not very visible, so I remembered some design rules that I learned in a subject at the University called Visual Environment. In this particular case, I added a black circle in the background, in order to contrast and highlight the letters. I like to use this element because with it I can establish a visual hierarchy, emphasizing what I want people to see. I do the same with the titles and subtitles, by placing a dark border on the typography. That helps improve readability, adds visual interest, and generates a feeling of energy and excitement. Without contrasts in life we could not experience happiness, exercise free will, appreciate beauty, progress and learn, value redemption, and prepare for better things. I feel grateful for the different perspectives that life offers us, whether sweet or bitter. I hope you enjoy my performance and I wish you a nice weekend.

Al colocar el logo de la comunidad, las letras en amarillo no eran muy visibles, entonces recordé algunas reglas del diseño que aprendí en una materia en la Universidad llamada Medio Visual. En este caso, en particular, agregué un círculo negro en el fondo, con el fin de contrastar y resaltar las letras. Me gusta usar este elemento porque con este puedo establecer una jerarquía visual, haciendo énfasis en lo que quiero que las personas vean. Igualmente, hago con los títulos y subtítulos, al colocarle un borde oscuro a la tipografía. Eso ayuda a mejorar legibilidad, añade interés visual, y genera una sensación de energía y emoción. Sin contrastes en la vida no podríamos experimentar felicidad, ejercer el libre albedrío, apreciar la belleza, progresar y aprender, valorar la redención y prepararnos para mejores cosas. Me siento agradecido por las diferentes perspectivas que nos ofrece la vida, ya sean dulces o amargas. Espero que disfruten de mi performance y les deseo un bonito fin de semana.
