RE: COMMUNITY RULES UPDATE for PHOTOGRAPHY LOVERS

Great rules, i agree with all of them. I just have a question regarding the one for models.

If I take some pictures of any model, let's say my wife @aylenmp, can she post them here? Sharing his experience as a model of course.

Great question. In the rules, it states that the person posting here in PL must either be the photographer or the model.

So, short answer, Yes. If you take photos of models/businesses/products etc. and they want to use your photography on their account... then that is permissible. If you wanted to also post the content for your own display of your photography... that too is permissible.

However, posting the same content is recycling (as i'm sure you know)... so there would have to be a difference in how the content is formatted and posted about. If these accounts were all run by an individual or group of individuals... it could be considered farming for rewards.

So, not that you need a warning but for the sake of clarity and for others reading this response, open transparency and accrediting the proper sources and individuals in proper context is always the safest bet.

It is not stated in the rules, but if an individual had the proper legal rights to the photos then they may also be used.... but that wouldn't apply to 99.9% so i didn't write that one.

I hope this answer wasn't too overcomplicated!

I already knew what you were going to say but it's better to be sure. What happens is that sometimes I have some photos I don't like but she does so, until now she hasn't posted any but it could be a good way for her to create content and not only with my photos cause we know many photographers. But I'll always tell her to leave any link to the photographer or the user if he/she is on Hive. Thank you for answering bro and keep rocking!

So, your situation that you just described would be a version of that 1% users that unwritten rule would apply to. You would essentially be giving her the 'rights' to use your photography.

So, she can post using your photography and just have a credit to you somewhere in the post, under the photo, or in the footer... that kind of thing. It's mostly just to ensure that the photos in a post aren't presented in a way where they appear to be taken by the poster as the photographer, when in fact they aren't.

Plus, there is a bit of some flexibility when it comes to husbands and wives intermingling content. Just as long as it's all transparent and done proper... there isn't anything to worry about. I also hope this answer was complete enough for you.
You Keep Rockin it too bro!

Thanks! I'll give her the news!
