Today I want to share with you a few shots of large-scale landscapes that look like abstract paintings. These are mountains and hills photographed from a helicopter.
If you look at them slightly at an angle and from a distance, you can see that this is a mountainous terrain.

But if you look closely, the picture ceases to be so recognizable and easy to perceive — the mountainous landscape seems to spread its colors across the artist’s canvas, the colors are mixed and the image becomes a bizarre, abstract work of art. I like it :)
It was as if the artist began to draw something specific, but then changed his mind and generously splashed different colors on top, pink and light gray, almost white, so unexpected among the green, brown and dark gray natural tones.

And here, among the gray and brown slopes of mountains and hills, as if painted with large strokes of paint, it is easy to see a completely natural dark thread of a river, whose path is marked by the greenery that this river feeds.
Somewhere, shadows from clouds cover the picture with dark spots, emphasizing the volumetric contours of the relief.
Still, views from above always have their own twist!
And here is a funny combination: above the landscape you can see both the white clouds themselves and their shadows: we flew higher and could see them at the same time.
In the photo on the right, the shadows of the clouds merge with stripes of dark green trees, stretch out, and spread across the picture with bizarre tentacles. Looks a bit like a jellyfish :) Who can see it here too?

When mountains and hills are so mottled and colorful, it always catches my eye, especially if I can look at it from above. Hope you enjoyed it too!

What a beautiful ride you had up there! Never been in a helicopter before but I bet it's a unique experience, as well as the perspective over the surroundings you get to enjoy :)
Oh yes, this is a truly unique sight, especially when you fly over sparsely populated, almost untouched natural areas. If you have the opportunity, I advise you to try helicopter flight, you won’t regret it!
