we should have been back there last year, but an unexpected house move in 2022 chewed up the savings.
I'm hoping to take us back next year.
We stayed in Calheta last time, but have my eye on a couple of self catering properties in Funchal down near the sea front, and easy walk from the market.
I see. Well, we were planning to visit Madeira for quite some time already (before actually going) so I checked Airbnb offers on the island a couple of times and there were always some really cool deals so I´m sure you will find something nice. And Funchal (and its surroundings) seems to be a great base to explore the island from ;)
