First of all, it should be a comfortable and roomy backpack. Now they are made by a lot of species adapted for certain hikes. Think about what you need. Of course, it is necessary to consider the option of having your own tent. Although it is often provided by the company organizing the trip. But it's much more convenient in mine. You are used to it, everything in it is adapted for you. and most importantly, you are sure in her that she will not let you down in bad weather.

For example, it was completely inconvenient for us to carry a tent to the Altai Mountains (we would also have to overpay for it when flying) and we used a tent provided by a travel company. And when it started raining at night, we woke up in a puddle of water. We had to take urgent measures to save us ;) And at night, without light, in the rain, it's an unpleasant activity.

Now a few words about clothes. It can be of any brand. The main thing is that it should be comfortable, reliable and bright in color (in case of unforeseen circumstances, it will be easier for rescuers to find you). When we went to Altai, we took with us 1 dim clothing, more green in color and generally camouflaged. However, all our other comrades were also in soft clothes.

But there was nowhere to get lost. There are absolutely no places where you can go on your own from the base camp. Therefore, the probability of getting lost is reduced to zero. And we didn't want to buy clothes separately for this trip. But we were satisfied with our clothes. It was sturdy and comfortable.

You definitely need a change of underwear, a lot of socks and clothes in order to sleep (this is very important). There should be a waterproof anti-storm suit (by the way, a waterproof cape on a backpack will also be useful).

And it is necessary to approach the choice of shoes very carefully. It should not be worn and sturdy. In the mountains, there should be good contact of the sole with the ground surface. We used trekking sneakers and ankle boots with a high top.

The only mountains that can be better than mountains are those that you haven't been to yet!
