30 mins boat ride from Pattaya and there's even an international airport in that city so keep this as a vacation option when Covid-19 craze is over. There are both Ferry and Speed boats to get to Koh Larn.
Thanks to Covid-19 (I can't believe I just said that) Koh Larn is now great again. Coming here give me a whole new idea about the island. Not too touristy but still, pretty packed with all the Thai crowd.
I went there during the weekend so all the accommodation was sold out like, holy moly. I used the method of staying in a great hotel in Pattaya which is now super affordable due to how bad the tourism is at the moment. Then take a 30-min ferry ride to Koh Larn.
Ferry to Koh Larn I believe it leaves every hour or more often till 5PM then Ferry back to Pattaya runs till 6PM.

The island is incredible, and although we are with covid-19 the ferry is seen with many people, I do not want to imagine the amount of tourists in normal epocoa, you should not appreciate the beauty of the place.
So preatty. Covid-19 situation in Thailand now seems so normal so, people are out and about living their normal lives except for the part that we need to wear mask lol
