Due to the current extremely high heat index experienced here in the Philippines, we Filipinos find ways to what suits us best for us to be able to quench our thirst and be at ease and feel comfortable.
There are a lot of ways to ease heat such as having an air conditioner at home, turning on those electric fans, eating ice cream and anything cold, drinking plenty of water and so much more.
Newscasters have always highlighted the importance of being hydrated because there are a lot of reports currently of fatality due to heat stroke no matter how young the person may be. Here in Cebu City Philippines, the locals have to find a way to quench their thirst by drinking coconut water. It is always way better rather than drinking soda and other sugar drinks which contains massive sugar which is unhealthy. Drinking coconut water is a perfect way to quench your thirst if you want to drink something sweet but less sugary.
Here in Carbon Public Market in Cebu City the coconuts are sold for 40 pesos each. You get to drink the water and eat it’s meat. What a refreshing sip indeed! Coconut water is perfect to quench our thirst in this extremely hot weather.
The vendor was artistic enough to create a spoon made of coconut for use to use. I find this more sanitary than exchanging spoons with other people.
First, the vendor opened the coconut with a little hole and let us drink the coconut water then after that, gave us a spoon for us to use to eat the coconut meat.
The coconut water was so sweet and I love that it was sold for a very affordable price.
Even though we are in the city, we still get to enjoy the refreshing coconuts which are mostly found in rural areas. Which is such a good thing.
We then went home after enjoying our coconuts and after running some errands.

Love to do it in the province with friends and loved ones where coconut is unlimited and is for free. Best paired with condensed milk and some biscuits!
