☀️ Friend Femininity and A Reflection.

In these modern times, we are living in a world that seems a little crazier every day. When talking about women because, precisely, we are celebrating these days, Women's Day and its vital importance for humanity, I feel that somehow, this celebration has been tarnished by some movements of very radical feminist groups, which are far away from what is well-understood femininity.

Now, for me femininity is not an abstract concept that can be used or adopted under certain conditions or circumstances, to define some attitudes or behaviors of men. I believe that femininity is a concept that applies only and exclusively to women and that portrays, in some way, certain characteristics that make a woman more feminine.

And this has to do not only with her figure, posture, or behavior. I think it encompasses everything that the concept of woman means. Femininity is expressed in, simply, a woman being a woman. This does not imply that they should then be weak, submissive, or delicate.

Taking it as a concrete example, I lived an experience some years ago when I worked for an important company in the production and distribution of dairy and similar products. At that time, I was a salesman of these products and my client was an important store selling large volumes, so the amount of products that I had to deliver weekly to this store was very large, compared to other sellers who had much lower volumes.

In the beginning, I was in charge of the whole process of dispatching and customer service in their store, but soon I was overwhelmed by the amount of work required to maintain the stock of product in the store. It was for this reason that I requested the hiring of a store or merchandising assistant, who would be in charge of keeping everything in order in the store, while I would be in charge of supplying and dispatching the products.

On Friday I was informed that the assistant would start working on Monday. That day, while I was ordering some products on the store shelves, a girl greeted me and introduced herself:

"Are you Mr. Ramon? Nice to meet you, I am the new store assistant".

At first, I was a little confused, as I expected that a male person would be hired since the job required moving large quantities of products and sometimes it would be heavy to move all the boxes. In front of me, a beautiful blonde with an angelic face, blue eyes, a stunning figure, and dressed like a princess, made me feel disappointed. «Now I will have to do the heavy lifting for two», I said to myself.

This girl was a sensation inside the store because, immediately, there was no shortage of people who were captivated by her beauty. She looked so feminine and delicate, that I never thought she would be able to lift a simple box of products. But I was pleasantly surprised by her determination and courage. She turned out to be the perfect assistant, not only because nothing could stop her, but because, just as she could look like a Barbie, delicate and fragile, she could also keep the shelf in perfect order when the avalanche of customers swept the products in the store.

I think my dear friend Carolina, with whom I shared two of the best working years of my life, has been the greatest example of femininity and mettle in a woman. She never lost her feminine charm even though she was able to carry a wheelbarrow full of boxes of products by herself. Her beauty led her to become a model, but in the end, she decided to live a more relaxed and simple life, marrying a military pilot and dedicating herself to a home life with her three children.

In these times, we see how many women express their femininity by wearing less and less clothes and showing more and more of their bodies and, in some cases, altering them with aesthetic processes that take them away from a more pleasing femininity to the eye. Feminist groups, on the one hand, praise the role of women as a factor of struggle, change, and conquest for their gender, but, on the other hand, denigrate the expressions of femininity that can make women look more delicate and fragile. And femininity is not about that.

On the other hand, I think it is a mistake to want to frame the desire to have more understanding and affectionate men, attaching to them the concept of the "expression of their femininity ", which I consider is not correct, for the simple fact that femininity is intrinsic to women and the feminine. This does not mean that men can not be more affectionate and free to be more fragile or delicate and it is a situation that every day we notice more present in the male part, but in my opinion, is leading many men to feel confused and to doubt what they feel or who they are.

☀️ Amiga Feminidad y Una Reflexión.

En estos tiempos modernos, estamos viviendo un mundo que cada día parece un poco más loco. Al hablar de la mujer porque, precisamente celebramos en estos días, el día de la mujer y su vital importancia para la humanidad, siento que de alguna forma, esta celebración se ha visto empañada por algunos movimientos de grupos feministas muy radicales, que se alejan bastante de lo que es la feminidad bien entendida.

Ahora bien, para mí la feminidad no es un concepto abstracto y que se puede utilizar o adoptar bajo ciertas condiciones o circunstancias, para definir algunas actitudes o comportamientos de los hombres. Creo que la feminidad es un concepto que aplica única y exclusivamente en las mujeres y que retrata, de alguna manera, ciertas características que hacen a una mujer más femenina.

Y esto no tiene que ver solo con su figura, posturas o comportamiento. Creo que abarca todo lo que el concepto de mujer significa. Feminidad expresada en, simplemente, la mujer siendo mujer. Esto no implica que deban entonces ser débiles, sumisas o delicadas.

Llevándolo a un ejemplo concreto, viví una experiencia hace ya algunos años cuando trabajaba para una importante empresa de producción y distribución de productos lácteos y similares. En ese tiempo, era vendedor de estos productos y me tocó como cliente una importante tienda de venta de grandes volúmenes, por lo que la cantidad de productos que debía entregar semanalmente a esta tienda era muy grande, comparado con otros vendedores que tenían volúmenes mucho más bajos.

Al principio me encargaba yo solo de todo el proceso de despacho y atención del cliente en los espacios de su tienda, pero pronto me vi bastante sobrepasado por la cantidad de trabajo que se requería para mantener el stock del producto en la tienda. Fue por ello que solicité la contratación de un asistente de tienda o merchandising, que se encargaría de mantener todo en orden en la tienda, mientras yo me encargaría del suministro y despacho de los productos.

Un día viernes me informaron que el asistente comenzaría a trabajar el día lunes. Llegado el día, mientras ordenaba algunos productos en los estantes de la tienda, una chica me saluda y se me presenta:

—¿Usted es el Señor Ramón? Mucho gusto, soy la nueva asistente de tienda.

Al principio quedé un poco confundido, ya que esperaba que se contrataría a una persona masculina, debido a que el trabajo requería mover grandes cantidades de productos y, a veces, resultaría pesado mover todas las cajas. Frente a mí, una hermosa rubia de rostro angelical, ojos azules, una figura impresionante y vestida como toda una princesa, me hizo sentirme decepcionado. «Ahora tendré que hacer el trabajo pesado de dos», me dije dentro de mí.

Esta chica fue una sensación dentro de la tienda porque, de inmediato, no faltó quién quedara prendado por su belleza. Se veía tan femenina y delicada, que nunca creí que sería capaz de alzar una simple caja de productos. Pero su determinación y coraje me sorprendieron gratamente. Realmente resultó ser la asistente perfecta, no solo porque nada la detenía, sino que, así como podía parecer una Barbie, delicada y frágil, también podía mantener el estante en perfecto orden cuando la avalancha de clientes arrasaban con los productos en la tienda.

Pienso que mi apreciada amiga Carolina, con quien compartí dos de los mejores años de trabajo en mi vida, ha sido el mayor ejemplo de feminidad y temple en una mujer. Jamás perdió su encanto femenino a pesar de que era capaz de cargar ella sola con una carretilla repleta de cajas de productos. La preciosura que derrochaba la llevaron luego a convertirse en modelo, pero al final, ella decidió vivir una vida más relajada y sencilla, contrayendo matrimonio con un piloto militar y dedicándose a una vida hogareña en compañía de sus tres hijos.

En estos tiempos, vemos cómo muchas mujeres expresan su feminidad luciendo cada vez menos ropa y mostrando más de sus cuerpos y, en algunos casos, alterándolos con procesos estéticos que las alejan de una feminidad más agradable a la vista. La gesta de los grupos feministas, por un lado, elogian el papel de la mujer como factor de lucha, cambio y conquista para su género, pero, por el otro, denigran de las expresiones de feminidad que pueden hacer ver a la mujer como más delicadas y frágiles. Y la feminidad no se trata de eso.

Por otro lado, pienso que es un error querer encuadrar el deseo de tener hombres más comprensivos y afectivos, adosándoles el concepto de la "expresión de su feminidad", lo cual considero no es correcto, por el simple hecho de que la feminidad es intrínseco a la mujer y lo femenino. Esto no quiere decir que los hombres no pueden ser más afectivos y libres de mostrarse más frágiles o delicados y es una situación que cada día la notamos más presentes en la parte masculina, pero que en mi opinión, está llevando a muchos hombres a sentirse confundidos y a dudar de lo que realmente sienten o quienes son.
