Back to Blogging: A Personal and Professional Update

in #ladiesofhive5 months ago

Hi everybody,

I hope this post finds you well and that the start of the new year has brought joy, peace, and happiness to you and your dear ones.

It's been about 5 months since my last post, and as I reflect on that time, it feels like it flew by.

These past months were a mix of personal and professional challenges. On the personal front, I underwent surgery and took some much-needed time for recovery. There was a specific period when I wished time would pass by faster - and that was during my stay in the hospital. However, I firmly believe that everything happens for a reason, and there are valuable lessons to be learned. Once we grasp those lessons, life tends to take a positive turn.

Professionally, amidst other projects, I embarked on a collaboration with another London-based Auction House - L’Autographe. We successfully conducted our first auction on the 5th of December last year, and the experience was both challenging and fulfilling. This Auction House, with an expert who previously worked for Christie's, is poised to make a significant impact locally and internationally. I find joy in working with ancient artefacts, as it allows me to delve into history and learn more about our past.

Interestingly, the juxtaposition of ancient objects and the new crypto movement strikes me as two parallel realities. L’Autographe, aiming to be a bridge between the past and the future, accepts cryptocurrency as payment for sales. This forward-thinking approach resonates with my perspective, and I'm excited about the potential impact.

For those who have followed my journey through previous posts, you know I'm a freelancer and a free spirit. Besides my culinary adventures, I've shared images of ancient objects, artefacts, coins, and jewellery. With my collaboration with L’Autographe, I'll continue to share my favourite things and also some manuscripts, autographs, and collectibles. I hope you enjoy this journey into history.

This year, I aspire to find more time for my cookbook project, which I had to temporarily set aside. I'll share insights from it when the time comes. Additionally, I'm keeping a close eye on the crypto movement, patiently adopting a long-term investment approach.

I'm curious about the worldwide distribution between long-term and short-term crypto investors. Perhaps some research on this topic would be enlightening, purely out of curiosity.

Thank you so much for reading my blog. Your interest and support mean a lot as you become part of my journey. I'm thrilled to be back, and I look forward to sharing more with you in the days to come.

Warm regards,
Simona
