Basket of 15 Cryptos as of 07/05/2023
Not much change in our allocations this week. The value of our basket has overall increased this week but many cryptos within it are up and down. SOL has been our best performer with a 14% gain with ETH and LTC sharing the worst performance both at -3.3%.
You can see from the above chart that we are far from our perfect allocations and im feeling the markets have been going sideways enough for me to justify doing a rebalance which I will do either later today are tomorrow morning. You can see SOL and BNB are both heavily overallocated while ADA and INJ are very under-allocated. Infact, INJ is fallen from the top 50 ranked on coingecko and is at risk of being dumped by us. This will be its second week out of the top 50 so i give it 1-2 more weeks and if nothing, we'll replace it.
The value of our basket increased by $250 which is not a bunch but better up than down.
The book value of the XV token increased to 2.34 HIVE this week and I think, yes I know this is a new all-time high price. The price has been choppy the past 6-8 weeks but we can still an upward trend in the chart. We might continue to bounce between book value of 2.10-2.40 HIVE for another month are so before we take off again.
Our basket of 15 has outperformed HIVE this week and we see 1400 HIVE in growth. The crypto gods still play with us and will not let us into the 25k profit bracket. Ever since we crossed over 20k HIVE profit on week 44, its been 1 week up and 1 week down with the exception of week 51. Going on this information, we could predict and say next week, we'll see a drop in total HIVE profit.
Even with this choppy action, we can still see the we are trending upwards so we're doing something right, right?
Round-Up
We've had a sideways week. I know the book value of XV is at a new-time high but we're far off the dollar value peak of $16.5k when HIVE was around 46 cents. When was HIVE 46 cents you might be thinking, between 12th-14th March believe it are not.
The basket will be rebalanced for next week and fingers crossed we start to see some more growth from lower-ranked cryptos, all the action seems to be top heavy which is cool cause our allocations a weighted but we need lower ALTs to outperform sometime so we can build a bigger bag through rebalancing.
Next week we hit the halfway mark for the XV project at week 54. Cant believe we are half way already!

So XV token is like some sort of fund or ETF we can say?
Yes, its a 'basket of coins', but this is a fund. And its priced in (swap)HIVE.

shame we dont hold 20 SOLs, but diversified is good too
I know, I sometimes think about what would be the value of the basket if we just stuck with our starting bag and never rebalanced. Deffo over $15-16k for sure
But if we just stuck with our starting bag then we wouldn't be the XV token rebalancing fund. It's one of the things we wanted to experiment with. We good. We real good.

It'll be nice to add AI tokens like RNDR, etc. Layer1s liek SUI, APT & SEI, plus BTC layer 2s as that's where next bull run is after SOL.
I'll likely go for an AI token if INJ remains out of the top 50 for another week. I've had good success with FET for SPI. Thanks for your input 😁
