Crypto appears to be the same way. Millions have been stolen from crypto accounts. Just the other day Guiltyparties sends out a warning of up to maybe five thousand compromised accounts. Warns people if they still have steemit as their recovery account to immediately follow the links and change it. You follow the links and the link comes up saying something about invalid active key, what?...it doesn't even ask you for the active key to begin with. Than I guess you are suppose to go on discord, well that's a bigger hassle than stopping by the bank, now I have to download that annoying pop up every time you turn on your computer clown face and wait for it to upload...regardless if I want to use it or not. So I decide maybe the person who made the recovery site can help. Nope, he said go on discord. I know it's not a lot of money but maybe the scammers think differently when a few hundred here or there starts to add up but whatever, I am not incline to download the clown again.
