Crypto’s Unpredictability

My friends and I are hunting airdrops, we have been hunting airdrops, like other projects we have taken most of these airdrop tasks very seriously. Some of these airdrop projects were a complete disappointment, for instance the Venom airdrop. The venom project led us on for months, made us do lots of tasks, promised rewards only to end up giving us some worthless NFTs. We also had another project called Smartlayer who had the community perform a lot of task, only to do a raffle draw on the community. The part of the community that got the airdrop was based on raffle draw, if you were part of the raffle draw you will have an airdrop. If this was the criteria that was announced before the task, no one would have participated. But the team decided to choose that and disappoint the community. Just like every other projects, the community left them.

Starknet, another huge project also disappointed its community like others, and as usual, the community left the project. The most disappointing part of the whole experience was, their community valued these projects so high. They had high expectations towards these projects, they invested and hoped that the project will incentivise and compasate them handsomely. People didn’t really value testnet tasks, because they were free and easy to do, so people had lower expectations from them, but rewards have been quite contrary.

Mainnet tasks that involved invest spending a lot of money to interact with disappointed the community, they didn’t reward them, as a matter of fact, a dev from starknet project insulted its community and called them e-betters. He forgot that a project is nothing without its community, he went from calling the community e-beggars to begging them to come back and use their project. But we have seen a lot of projects that were under estimated because they were testnets print money for their users and community, for instance we have people that made over 4 figures from zeta, Aptos a lot of me made money. So once again, this is crypto, anything can happen.
