What is a Cull? American Silver Eagle Cull 10-19-2022

in #silvergoldstackers2 years ago

A few days ago, one of the World's Largest Coin/Bullion Dealers, APMEX, had over a thousand “cull” American Silver Eagle Dollars, for sale. They were the lowest priced, ASE, they had for sale, (at a $13USD) premium. Usually, in the numismatic/coin collector world, a cull, is a Coin, so bad, it has to be separated from the herd. Worst, then poor condition. Like sick. In the ASE world, if it's not Brilliant Uncirculated, it's, well, a cull. Scratch & Dent, etc… Anyway, today, APMEX sold all their cull ASEs. Thousands. At a Premium of $20 vs 13, the buyer's savings could have been over $7,000.

Less than a year ago, I paid a $2 premium vs a $5 premium, for a BU, for this Cull. Why? I like to use it, as an example, of the value, of its Silver content value. No matter what it looks like, it still has value. Unless it is radio-active.

You always on the smart stacking a really great inspiration

This is quite classic in appearance

Silver is still precious metals, i agree it's so collectible !

Beautiful designs on this. Silver will always be silver no matter it's appears. Stacking of this things are always the right choice

The above coin is so old that its inscription has been erased. But silver as a metal never gets old.
