Alrighty folks are you ready for some hand poured silver….

Afternoon everyone…..

Most of you silvergoldstackers will not know about this company, because they closed up shop several years ago now.

They were very active within the silver community on YouTube back in the 2015-2018 years. Many of us got some good deals from them during that time for supporting their business and or a little something extra when ordering.

They produced hand poured silver, silver art bars and specialty pours as well. The company was the Atlantis Mint. They disappeared from the scene in I believe 2019, or early 2020 I’m not positive.

Well….

They have reappeared. They opened back up roughly six months ago. They produce some really cool stuff, so if you are looking for some unique stuff, they definitely fit the bill. You can get everything from 1/2 ounce up to twenty ounce pieces from them. They are a big pricier than I remember them being back in the day, but all hand poured stuff is expensive now.

So today I’m going to share a ten ounce logo bar that I bought from them just under a decade ago. It’s a hand poured beauty….

Here is the bar….

For me these pieces are not really for my stack. They are for my collection of hand poured silver.

That is cool that they are back in business. It's always a bit sad when small places like that go out of business for whatever reason.

That's awesome the company is back! I love poured silver! It just looks so cool, like raw treasure! 😁

Hey I have some questions about toning and grading, you could answer in a post if you want, or here.

Is toning taken into account when a company grades a coin?

It seems the grade is on the strike and the details of the strike but that toning is not heavily weighted, if at all.

Why would it not be a factor, or a bigger factor?

I'm looking at a lot of graded coins online these days and consistatly, the toned coins sell for 15-25% less.

Do they keep toning in the slab?
Can a coin that is not tonned aquire toning once slabbed?

I sometimes like a toned coin that raw but when I buy a graded coin I want the shiny ✨

Thanks :D

I agree with you, everything that is artisanal, that is, made by hand is more expensive, in fact everything has more details, current technology helps, but it will never have that detail that human beings put into what they do.

Each piece is unique
