3000 Followers ago, I joined Steemit
Before Steemit, the depth and breadth of my blogging experience extended to just my friends and family on WeChat.
I never thought putting my life under the public eye would work out quite so well. Or that the blogging medium would be quite so popular and end up being the best way for me to present myself, as well as let my followers get a better idea of the inner workings of my head.
Like many of you early on, I found it difficult to find my own niche. It seems every girl is an accomplished lifestyle / travel / fashion blogger. But the point is, it doesn't matter what others are doing. Because I knew I had my stories to tell, so.. I just told them.
Pretty quickly, I realised that even though my peers in China lived perhaps more glamourous lifestyles than myself, they didn't have the tenacity to put their experiences down on paper, or spend time really collating their thoughts over their experiences. Most of them would post pictures on instagram, and leave the rest to imagination.
Steemit gave me the opportunity to do more than just post pictures. I could also tell my story, express it through words. Reach an audience of English speakers AND Chinese speakers. Use many different forms of expression to engage with my followers, and give them multi-pronged experiences that could not be found anywhere else.
I want to take this opportunity to recap my blogs over the past 10 months or so. Many of you who followed me recently may have missed out on some of these. So here's a good chance to catch up!

Without a doubt, one of my main lifestyle blog topics is about travel. More specifically, rich picturesque blogs about the places i've visited, and my stories about them. Travelling the world has been a passion of mine since I was a little girl. My parents have always encouraged me to see the world from as many different angles as possible. FOOD
One of the most important things in our life is food. After all, we cannot survive without it! Why not make a necessity of our lives more than just a necessity? I'm the kind of person to eat absolutely anything. I will eat food from nightmarket stalls, to Haute cuisine and skip nothing in between. I think, my mission is to give all my readers a list of the best foods to check out whilst on their travels. Kind of like my own Michelin list of restaurants. With so many amazing dancers on the platform, @sirwinchester @soldier @mrs.steemit to name a few, I was a little hesitant in sharing my own dancing videos. But, it really is something I enjoy doing very much so I will try to share more of my dancing activity moving forward!

In the guide below, I discuss to some lengths, the different aspects of making a blog more conducive to being successful. that's the wrong question to ask. You should focus on how to write a great blog that people will want to come back to read, and upvote because they want to. Not because you pester them to!
I am not pesting you or anyone...In your earlier days i think you must have also asked these silly question..if you do not want to answer then don't but nevvvver ask anyone to upvote or follow .
On this platform, your income is a function of the number of votes you get for your post, determined with a weighted vote algorithm.
For any given population of followers, you will have a certain distribution of those with larger 'weights' ie Whales with lots of Steem Power, and those with smaller weights - those with little Steem Power.
By increasing the number of followers, you are able to compound the total vote weight on your post and thus the reward.
The simple answer is to building an increasingly large following.
The better question would be, 'How can I increase my exposure / following?'

thank you madlenfox, because i'm not a native speaker of English, I actually spend a lot of time to write a post. And then even more time correcting it. My parents and friends often help me with correcting my English! So, the answer is, a post can take 6-10 hours depending if it includes bi-lingual languages, and videos / gifs. Comments I tend to reply to throughout the day whilst i'm out. Unfortunately that means i'm always stuck to my phone (a habit I intend to get rid of!)

I found it because a friend of mine posted about it on wechat, and then I decided to have a look and then found quite an active cn community there!
