The 7 Jewish Feasts

in #ulogs6 years ago (edited)

On Sunday the 9th of September, 2018 marks the Jewish New Year. It is one of the most significant feasts that Jews observe that align to significant events surrounding the first coming of Christ and will also align with the second coming of Christ.

                                                                                       The 7 Jewish Feasts
  1. The Feast of the Passover: The crucifixion of Christ.

  2. The feast of Unleavened Bread: Christ in the grave.

  3. The Feast of Firstfruits: Christ's Resurrection

  4. The feast of Pentecost: The coming of the Holy Ghost.

The first four feasts symbolize the first coming of Jesus as the Lamb of God.
The next three feasts symbolize the second coming of the Messiah as the Lion.

  1. The feast of Trumpets: The priests blow the Shofar to signify the beginning of this season we entered in today - the new year. In the New Testament, God ordained that it would be the feast that the rapture of the saints will occur in. When the time comes, as the priests blow the trumpets, the archangel will also blow the trumpet that will command the resurrection. (1 Thessalonians 4:14-16) This is the rapture.

This is why God commands that we hold a solemn assembly so that men can repent and cry out for mercy before the Lord; that He may forgive our sins and cleanse our hearts. He is not a God who is just waiting for us to sin so He can punish us, but a God of love and mercy, who wants to come and meet a people holy and ready for Him. It is also a time when the courtroom of heaven sits.

The Judge also seats with the Advocates of the saints at His side. Whatever activity men carry out is reviewed at that time.
Those that have been sinning, God looks at their cups to see if it is full. This is why there are a lot of deaths in this season (between September and December). This is why the saints need to pray for their own preservation and that of their family members this period.

Once judgement is passed, there is no going back. That is why we have to cry out in repentance for mercy before judgement is passed.

Also, the activities of the righteous are visited and God remembers them, to favour them. Business and individuals experience a lot of blessings and benefits this period also.

                      The last two feasts are:
  1. The feast (day) of Atonement- this is the day of vengeance of the Lord, the day of judgement. The war of Armageddon would take place then.

  2. The feast of Tabernacles: this is when Jesus would establish the headquarters of His kingdom here on earth. Then He would give us places to rule over
