Mi idea por ahora es hacer cojines decorativos, bien sean para los muebles de la sala o para las camas.
A friend gave me this quilt as a gift to get income to buy more fabrics.
My idea for now is to make decorative pillows, either for the living room furniture or for the beds.
En esta oportunidad le voy a presentar, como voy a hacer una colcha para una cama matrimonial.
This time I am going to show you how I am going to make a quilt for a double bed.
Aquí tengo 5 metros de largo de la tela acolchada. Y de ancho solo tiene 1.1/2

Para que me dé el ancho de la cama voy a unir las dos piezas, que me va a dar los tres metros que necesito.

Como me cubre el ancho de la cama matrimonial. Decidí cortar 2 piezas de la tela que cada una va a tener de largo 2.1/2 metros. Y 1.1/2 de ancho. Que si lo sumamos va a ser una colcha de 3 metros anchos con 2.1/2 metros de largo.

Después de tener la tela lista para coserla en la máquina. El saque y le estaba cambiando los hilos. Y la máquina no me funciono. No sé qué le paso, porque la última vez que la use la guarde y estaba bien. Pero bueno, no funciono.
After I got the fabric ready to sew it on the machine. I took it out and was changing the threads. And the machine didn't work. I don't know what happened to it, because the last time I used it I kept it and it was fine. But well, it didn't work.
Así que decidí comenzar a cocer a mano, Tuve que comenzar poco a poco porque había que primero unir las dos piezas.
So I decided to start hand firing, I had to start small because I had to first join the two pieces together.
Para después hacerle todo el borde a la tela completa. Como ven en un lado mío.
Tengo unas Cajas decorativas, forradas en tela, que voy a hacer también. Que les pueden servir para guardar cosas en el closet. Esa la hice de prueba.
Then I had to do the whole border to the complete fabric. As you can see on one side of me.
I have some decorative boxes, lined with fabric, that I am going to make as well. They can be used to store things in the closet. I made that one as a test.
Y así quedó la colcha. Y bueno, ya tiene dueña. Mi hija me la va a comprar para poder seguir con mi emprendimiento.
And this is how the quilt turned out. And well, it already has an owner. My daughter is going to buy it for me to be able to continue with my enterprise.
