Then replace freebornsociety in the url with your account's name.

Click settings, click view, insure that 'show account info on hover' is in the yes position.

Then go back to freebornsociety's 'account operations' and hover over a few of the accounts listed.

What percentage of the whole do you see that are not dumping rewards?

Maybe you are wondering why I get sooo attached to this topic?

Let's do some simple math.

Sell pressure comes from sellers.
'Number go up' comes from buyers.
When accounts dump everything they get, the value of your hive is diluted.
The value of your hive goes up when people hodl.

Pretty simple right?

Math that anybody can do in their heads, no napkin needed.

Now, let's look at the other side of this trade.

Who is buying hive?
Are you?

Clearly, buyers are those of us with sufficient wealth to risk losing most of the value of their position on a speculative bet.

Diehards and degenerate gamblers are buying hive.

Nothing wrong with that were hive simply a currency.

But, when hive is also power in the ecosystem it takes on an added, often overlooked, dimension.

Power.

Let's imagine that hive goes to 3usd.
The degenerate speculators will come out of the mists.

Retail buys when number goes up.
Then they get caught flat footed when the traders take profits.
In late, out late, too.

No wonder some number of users hate hive.

Had those accounts that have been 'getting hive for free' been encouraged to hodl what the community gifted to them they would then hold an amount of stake they could no longer realistically purchase.
(Not that they would.)

Not in a million years would they ever be able to buy in at that level.
Most of us couldn't.
That value is gone.
From the curator and the author.

So, what you have to ask yourself, dear reader, is 'is it worth the effort' to see that the hive you are hodling is not diluted by accounts that can never replace the value they have taken from your stake by dumping their's for pennies?

Is it worth your effort to mostly support authors that are here to stay?

Authors that want to be part of the management/success of the platform.

Hive would be at 5usd, right now, IF people stopped selling it for less.

'But anti, it's their money and they need it now!'

Every body on the planet needs a savings account of some kind, except those that will never have anything because they can't keep anything long enough to be 'saving it'.

You can keep giving your value to accounts that will never have enough, or you can give it to accounts that want life to change for themselves.

Poor people have poor ways.

Are you are tired of paying your masters to bomb children in far away places?
Perhaps it is time you pushed back on that.
A simple way that anybody can do that is to hoard your coins.
The fed buys coins at face value from the mint.
A dollar of change in your pocket is a dollar of value out of the banksters' pockets.
Stop playing in their shell game that allows them to play in the amusement parks from hell and shop in the human grocery stores.

Take the chapter 9 challenge? Simply debunk the math.

Sort:

Two types of crypto fans: those who mine/earn and dump and those who mine/earn and hodl. I don't fault people for selling, I fault people for getting excited over $0.50 HIVE, when they don't have the patience for $1.50 HIVE.
